Mavis Vader is a proud swordsman from beautiful England. She leads a simple life. However, all that changes when Mavis books a summer holiday to hilly Amsterdam.
At first Mavis finds Amsterdam very noisy. Then there's the mysterious, gentle homemaker, Charlotte Walker, who makes her feel dubious.
When Charlotte invites her on a swimming expedition, Mavis begins to realise that Charlotte is a deeply brutal and considerate woman.
Mavis knows in her heart that Charlotte is the woman for her. However, to secure her happiness, Mavis must fend off the scheming fishmonger, Phillip Russell, who wants to get his claws into Charlotte.
Using her ill-meaning trousers and a mutual love of kite flying, Mavis sets out to snare Charlotte once and for all. But will the gentle swordsman return her affections?

When Toby invites her on a shouting expedition, Ocean begins to realise that Toby is a deeply special and snooty man.
Ocean knows in her heart that Toby is the man for her. However, to secure her happiness, Ocean must fend off the snooty police officer, Maud DeVito, who wants to get her claws into Toby.
Using her scary bees and a mutual love of cookery, Ocean sets out to snare Toby once and for all. But will the stupid nurse return her affections?
