"ALICE SMITH! Come down here this instance", my mum shouted from downstairs
"Coming mum" ,I shouted back to her.
I wonder what she wants me to do now oh I hope there are no new chores to do because I am as lazy as a sloth right now to do anything.
So slowly I descended down the stairs. I went in the living room and there sat both of my parents.
OH MY GOD they both are sitting together with serious expressions, this only means one thing that I am in trouble!
As you see my parent are two very big workaholics they only think about WORK. So them sitting together and not doing there work is absolutely a sudden shock to me.
"Alice please sit down your father and I have to talk to you about something",my mother said rather hesitantly.
Oh no she hesitated.
OK Alice be a good girl and try to remember what you did wrong these past days.
Well there was this one day when the school teacher caught me sneaking out of school.
Or that one day when I had to go to buy a smoothie and I didn't have my car so I took my dads precious car and by accident hit on a tree but dad can't know about that as I repaired it.
Oh I know it could be...., I stirred out of these possible reasons as my mum shouted at me to wake up from my day dreams.
"Sorry mum I got a little carried away" I smiled sheepishly
" Well never mind and now listen closely to what your father has to say " she said strictly
I pouted but nevertheless turned my face towards my father so as to listen to what bad news he had in store for me.
"Alice sweetie you are a good and obedient girl and always have been but as you know that on every vacation of yours we have to leave to attend businesses so as always we leave you with your aunt Zoe but......",he couldn't continue as I interrupted him
"But father I am 18 now I can take care of myself you don't have to leave me to some aunt of mine, I refuse to go....." before I could complain more about their decision my father scolded me.
"Alice you are a well disciplined girl you should know not to speak like that to your parents.Anyways as I was saying that your aunt is ill so we are sending you to your uncle john and that's FINAL", he said with such authority that I did not say anything but a single OK.
"Alice I know that you know nothing about this uncle of yours as you hardly met any of your cousins but I can assure that he is a type of person who loves and cares about everyone" my mom smiled at me.
"OK but can you tell when I am leaving so I can at least say goodbye to my friends?", I said nervously.
" You are leaving by tomorrow so you better get packing young lady" he replied
I just nodded and went back to my room. I wanted to cry for this unfairness my parents have never been this strict to me. I guess I underestimated them for what they really are.
