"Favourite band?"
"The Rolling Stone. Yours?"
"One Direction."
"You don't look like a One Direction girl though. Favourite movie?"
"The conjuring. Yours?"
"All Fast and Furious movies."
So Greg and i have been playing this game for the past one hour. We are getting to know each other better by asking general questions. It's been a quick week. Greg and his weirdo friend, Zay have been eating lunch with us everyday. We've even been hanging out out of school. Having after school lunch in the local cafe, Georgia and turns out, those boys are the funniest people ever. I like our small group. Deidre, Zay, Greg and me. We're a tiny squad.
Right now, we're sat in Greg's bedroom, all four of us, bored and killing time. Zay is sprawled on Greg's bed, lying on his tummy, too busy on his phone. Deidre is sitting in front of Greg's study table, reading a book. Greg's on the floor with a controller in gis hand playing Fifa on his X Box, while answering my questions. And me, I'm sat on the bay window, looking at my house next door. It's weird how his window stares right into my besroom. From here i can see almost everything in my room. Even the lone sock next to my bed. Disgusting, i know. We're usually not this boring, but today the heat is a killer.
"Greg?"
"Mhm," he answered not even looking up. Boys and their video games.
"Favourite colour?"
"Blue. No wait, royal blue. Yours?"
"Royal blue."
"Aren't we conpatible?" he redundatly said.
"ROYAL BLUE! That's it you guys!" Zay yelled.
"What? Nimrod." Deidre looked up from her book, irritated obviously.
"There's a party this evening at Dylan's place. Let's go!" Zay said excitedly.
"Ok firstly, how did you get party from Royal blue and secondly, NO!" Greg threw his remote control beside him.
"Well, Dylan was wearing a royal blue shirt yesterday and so i remembered that he was throwing a party and secodly, Come on Greg! Stop being a party pooper, you monster!" Yeah, Zay was a bit of a drama queen sometimes.
"Yeah Greg, come on. I think we should go, it'll be fun." i chimed. Not that i liked parties, but i certainly didn't like doing nothing on a good hot day either.
"I can't believe I'm sating this but I'd have to agree with Numbhead here. We should go." Deidre said.
"But...but..." Greg tried to speak.
"No buts, we're going. Three against one. Majority rules." i said as i got up and grabbed Deidre.
"We'll neet you guys in half an hours time outside. Dont be late." i said as i closed Greg's bedroom door and headed for my house.***
"Mhm, what should i wear?" i said as i opened my closet door. There were so many things in there yet i didn't seem to find a decent outfit.
"I dont know about you gurrl but hey can i wear that cute purple dress of your?" Deidre didn't wait for me to answer and grabbed the my purple dress from the cupboard. She ran into the bathroom to go and change into the dress. I stood there, blankly staring at my cupboard."Yo Cinderella!" i walked iver to my window, not even bothering closing my cupboard door.
"What?" i said back. This was mine and Greg's way of talking. I mean who needs a cell phone, right?
"Blue looks good on you but you know what looks better, Royal blue. So hey, there's an idea why don't tou wear that dress right there," he was pointing at something in my cupboard. Greg was pointing to a very old but a favourite dress of mine. It was a lacy, dark almost royal bluish dress. That's perfect. Wow, the boy has some good sense of fashion.
I went there grabbed the dress and came back to the window, "Thank you Tyra Banks." i winked at him and he smiled. "Now if you don't mind, I'll go get ready." With that i closed the curtains and got ready.***
After exactly half an hour i was ready and pleased with myself. The blue dress was perfect considering the warm weather. I threw on a denim jacket/shirt On with the dress just to complete the outfit. And to top it off, i wore a Pandora silver chain, vifted to me by my granny on my last birthday. As for hair and makeup, i went subtle. I left my hair open and I'm aware that its bushy as hell, but hey, call it a messy, wavy hair do. And make up was narural and ver very subtle, unlike Deidre's who looked like she could hit a runway. She looked gorgeous in my purple dress and my black heels and my red lipstick looked bomb on her.We were waiting on the patio for the boys. As usual they were a minute late. But my gohd, they looked fine af.
After exchanging sweet compliments and 'the you don't look like a troll' kinda comments, we got into Greg's car and drove off.
