After getting ready to go to the DMV, Milind strode to the living room and sat on the couch. It would take another half an hour for him to leave as Rohita was taking a shower. Not wanting to waste his time, he wished to contact Esha. He hadn't spoken to her in two days.

Rohita would come out of the bathroom anytime. He would chat with Esha through messenger instead of calling her. When he logged onto his account, Esha wasn't on line. Chest tightened, Milind made sure Rohita was still inside the bathroom and tapped on his phone screen to call Esha.

Esha answered after a couple of rings. "Hi, how are you? I have been waiting for your call."

He was also upset for not being able to speak to her. Milind cleared his throat. "I did call you last night but the phone lines were busy."

"Last night? Did you go somewhere with her in the evening?"

He swallowed a lump in his throat. Esha guessed it right and he didn't want to hide the fact. "Um... she insisted me to take her outside for the dinner."

"So, you have a happy life with her?"

Milind's heart sank. Esha had always been blunt with. But Milind loved her. "Esha, don't taunt me. All I want is to reunite with you."

The bathroom door opened. He needed to end the call. "Can you log into your Gmail account?"

"Why? Is she around?"

"Yes, you guessed it correct. See you online."

Milind logged onto his Gmail account and Esha wasn't yet online. He controlling his urge to call her again, he waited with his eyes fixed on the phone screen.

His gaze shifted towards Rohita. She stood near the door, drying her hair. Guilt filled Milind's mind as he smiled at her. He locked his phone before putting it on the table.

She turned off the dryer. "I hope we aren't running out of time." She wiped her black hair with the towel. "I'll be ready in a few minutes."

He needed a few minutes in privacy. "Sure, take your time."

Milind sighed when Rohita walked back to her bedroom. He grabbed his phone and unlocked the screen. His chest lightened to find Esha online. She had in fact sent him a couple of smileys.

Milind# "Sorry, I got stuck. You okay?"

Esha# "Yes, all right. You?"

Milind# Usual. Making progress.

Esha# still hopeful?

Milind #Yes, I love you.

Esha# I doubt you succeed.

Milind# I'll, don't worry.

Rohita in her blue jeans and a green T-shirt approached him.

Milind quickly typed, "Bye for now."

His hands quivering, Milind inserted his phone into his shirt pocket.

Rohita's eyes darted between him and his phone. "What...what are you doing?" She sat beside him on the edge of the couch.

"Checking my emails." Milind put his hand on her back. "Ready to leave?"

Her brows knotted, Rohita stared at him for a few seconds unit she said, "I am not sure how much time it takes at the DMV. We will eat breakfast before we go."

Milind smiled and rubbed her back. "Sure, why not?"

"I will prepare something in a minute." Rohita walked back to the kitchen.
