3rd POV

The vanguard were arguing as usual about what to do with a new set of coordinates that were recovered from The World's Grave and the hive.

"We need to find out where they lea, we'll send a warlock and-" Ikora was interrupted by Cayde sighing and rolling his eyes

"Here we go again"

"What we need is not out there, it is here, we need to stay and protect the city" Zavala said hitting the table

"I think we should go find out where the coordinates lead" Cayde said playing with his hunter's knife

"At least we agree on that Cayde" Ikora said looking at him

"Well, who do we send then?" Zaala asked looking at them

"I think I know just the team" Cayde said and the other two vanguards nodded in agreement

"where are they now?" Zavala asked putting his hand on his chin

"I think Venus" Cayde said putting his knife away

"well, let's call them" Ikora said and the others nodded.

Meanwhile on Venus

A titan was reloading his machine gun while a bunch of dead vex sparked and crackled in front of him

"Barely a challenge" he said putting it on his back and looking over at his fire team. His name is Ivan, and he is a defender titan and is very fond of shooting his way to get anything. While a warlock was sitting on top a column with similarly dead vex around her

"I would say so" and she jumped off the column. This was Amelia, she is a stormcaller warlock and is more fond of taking a much more tactical approach to doing a mission. A hunter was reloading his hand cannon and had his knife stuck in a dead vex Minotaur head

"Yep, that is a job well done" and he got up to walk over to his fire team. This is (Y/n), a gun slinger, and is a cross between the other two when it comes to the way he likes to do things. He was also the fire team leader.

"So, what do we do now?" Ivan said looking at the mess the three guardians made

"Simple, we go tell Dead Orbit that the job is done and we collect our pay" (Y/n) said and the others nodded in agreement. The team then mounted their sparrows and left for the academy to pick up some spirit bloom they needed as well. (Y/n)'s ghost then said to all of them

"Guardians, we have a call" and they stopped riding and got together

"what is it?"

"Guardians, this is Commander Zavala, we need you to come back to the tower as soon as you can"

"Yeah, we'll be back soon" (Y/n) said and the message ended

"Did Zavala say what he wanted?" Amelia said to the ghost

"No, but it sounded urgent" the ghost responded

"well, let's get back to the tower, the spirit bloom can wait" (Y/n) said and they went to orbit and warped back to earth. They arrived at the tower and went to the vanguard to get their mission.

"guardians, glad you could make it" Cayde said to the three guardians

"we have found some coordinates from the data your ghosts collected from The World's Grave and we want you three to find out where it leads, and hopefully, the hive aren't already there"

"Yes sir" the three said saluting

"you may go guardians"
