I slammed the door of my car a little harder then I thought but the sight of my sister and Sean making out on the hood of her car really set me off. I didn't care though I felt better after the weekend, not having to see her face for three days made me a happier person.
If looks could kill, my death would be ruled as a 3rd degree murder. People still stared at me like I was gonna blow. Are school we're like a pack of hyenas ready to tear you apart just to hear the latest gossip, and I didn't want to take part in being the girl who lost her boyfriend to her overachiever sister.
I payed no attention to the sets of eyes burning into the back of my head, until I reached my home room classroom.
I glanced around the room meeting eyes with Jesse."What?" I asked, furrowing my eyebrows.
He grinned.
I rolled my eyes and opened my book, I looked up just as Jesses friends made an entrance and sat in their regular seats. Jesse casually looked away from me.
I could feel her eyes on me, I slowly turned my head."What was that?" Charity asked furrowing her eyebrows.
"We talked at the party." I said chipping away the nail polish on my fingers.
"Okay..." She paused grabbing her pencil case.
She then whipped it at me hitting me in the stomach.
"Why didn't you tell me!?!?" She almost yelled."Char calm down" I laughed pained, holding my stomach.
She looked at me shrugged then looked
up at the front of the classroom where the teacher was getting his stuff ready.
This class took forever every chance I got I would sneakily glance at him, his eyes closed his chest rising and falling as he breathed. When the bell finally rang and class ended I tilted my head at Charity."I was gonna tell you." I joked, nestling my books into her arm.
"I don't care! He's so hot." She squealed clapping her hands together.
"Char..." I sighed, she was always a little bit dramatic to things like this.
I glanced down at my phone, I had 7 minutes to get out on the field until the coach has my ass.
"I gotta go." I smiled at her, then disappeared out into the sea of teenager.******
The coach wanted us to run laps before our big game, and to be honest a good run was exactly what I needed to take my mind of things.
I ran fast feeling my feet smack the gravel, hearing the 13 other girls a few feet behind me. Passing the bleachers Charity was already there, a few of the football players sitting with her but her eyes were trained on me. I laughed internally, boys just don't know when to stop.
We all collected, meeting Coach on the sidelines as she saw the other team position themselves on the field.
"Smith, there's Scouts here. Looking for our star player, so lead the team today all right."I smiled brightly and ran off the sidelines to her position on the field.
The screeching sound of the whistle was blown and I took of down the field, dodging girls. Stealing the ball from under the girls feet, digging my cleats hard into the field as I reached the net. Hooking my foot under the ball and kicking it hard hitting the back of the net, the goalie diving for it but she was too late.
A roar came among the crowd, glancing over at Charity I jogged back over to her side getting into position. My team mate Marilyn, took of down the field with the ball. I ran a couple feet away from her, ready to assist. She went down sliding across the muddy ground, I took the chance. Cutting across the field I got the ball, Marilyn getting back up and running beside me. We kept kicking it back and forth from each other leaving the girls confused and angry as then ball flew past them. Sliding down in between Marilyn's feet I kicked the ball and it flew in between the goalies feet and into the net.
The crowd exploded, Marilyn offering her hand to me. We high fived and I helped her off the field to the bleachers, her knee looking pretty banged up. Half time would consist of a 10 minute break.I stepped away letting the side line nurse take a look at it, I looked up seeing Charity making her way down the bleachers hearing her heels bang against the metal seats.
"O-My-God, that was fricken amazing." She cooed, wiping some mud off my jersey but just smudging it some more. I focused on a tall stocky man that was whispering things into my coaches ear.
The scout.
"Dear god, don't look now." Charity warned stepping in my line of view.
"What?"
"I said don't look."
I turned my head and peered around her, standing by the parking lot was my Dad, Sean and Samantha."Do they not understand you don't want to see them." She barked angrily crossing her arms across her D cupped breasts.
"Apparently not." She muttered, wiping sweat off of her forehead. Her eyes traveling, scanning the crowd she saw new faces.
Jesse was sitting at the back, surrounded by his friends. He seemed distant as he looked around."I gotta get back out there." She
mumbled giving Char a small smile then walking away back into the field. Her stomach did flips as she realized the amount of people watching. She was never bothered before, always loved the attention. Something people recognized her for. Her Dad was standing with the two hated people in her life and she couldn't bear it, she clenched and unclenched her fist. The rest of the two teams returned to they're positions, taking one more glance at Jesse to see the same grin plastered across his face.

The game ended soon after winning the game 4-1 , she was happy with herself. Sure she could've played better but her Dad and her dead to her sister were standing a parking lots distance away from her.
She gathered her stuff from the bench and made her way to the showers. Cleaning off the mud and sweat, she stepped out. Changing into a pair of leggings and an old Red varsity sweater that used to be her moms.
She left the Change rooms with her bag."Hey.
I jump a bit seeing Jesse standing by the fence.
"Hi." She gave him a tired smile.
He walked over putting out his cigarette, shrugging a shoulder.
"Good game."
I continued to walk, he kept his pace beside me."Thank you." She thanked him, and pulled her keys out from her hoodie pocket.
He didn't say anything, shoving his hands into his jeans staring at me.
"What?" She asked unlocking her car.
"Nothing." He muttered, then walked away. She stared at him making his way in between the cars.
She got in and started her car, music blasting through the speakers. She was still so confused as to what Jesse needed or why he waited outside of the change room for me. She pulled out of the schools parking lot driving down the road towards her house, where she dreaded to see the people in it.
