Flash Forward
"What are you doing?!" She struggled to break loose from my hand that cuffed her wrist.
We needed to leave, now, so my mind blocked her constant whines and questions. I dragged her across the lounge towards the front door with only one question in mind; who else was hidden in shadow all this time?
There was a breif wave of light through the window causing me to lose focus for a spilt second. Serenity yanked her hand from mine and scampered to the other side of the room.
There was literally no time for this and the periodic beating of my heart became harder and faster.
"Serenity what the f*** is wrong with you! We have to go!" My roar echoed in the room and hands flew everywhere only to have her frozen by the wall.
Her eyes widened to my reaction because she had never seen me this way. I threw my hands to my head and whispered in desperation. "Serenity please, you have to trust me, we need to leave. Now."
She shook her head. "Why?"
"Yes, why do you need to leave?" A voice said from behind. My body instantly shook and turned around. It was too late..
"Serenity is everything alright?"
His voice was calm in a dark and mysterious fashion. I raised my finger to him. "Don't you dare try your f*****g tricks here."
"Xavier!" I gestured for her to be quiet.
"Xavier I take it your not feeling well?" He said with a smirk on his face. He knew it, my trust was no match for his. "Shut up."
I retreated back to Serenity and held her by her shoulders. "Listen you were right and I'm sorry.." My voice faded in to a whispered.
"Serenity I don't think you should be around him." He tried coming towards us.
"Shut up!" I screamed. "You f*****g take another step I'll make you bleed."
"Xavier!" She intruded again gripping my wrists in the sure hope of breaking away from me again.
I tried to be calmer in my words for her. "You were right all along, nothing that has ever happened was a coincidence it was always planned that way I swear I know and that's why he's here right now." I pointed to him.
"Wait what?" She tried to make sense of it all.
"Let me take care of Xavier." She looked to him and replied. "Give me a moment."
I continued. "He had all the opportunity to do everything that he has! He was working up to you. His name is an alias, the real person is dead. Gone a week after your trial."
"That's enough! I will not take all your accusations!" He roared.
"Ask him to show you his shoulder." I whispered to her and turned around to him. "F*****g show us your tattoo!"
"Stop!" All eyes were on her. Did I get through to her? I had no way of telling but she was to choose who she believed. A pain grew in the corners of my heart as my stomach twisted and turned. Please..believe me.
