(Hey my hope for this project is to comfort and give relaxing hope to those who feel these things. Let me tell you that if I survived it, you will as well! And trust me, I had it bad, too.)

Before I begin, I think it is important to note that this is a true account of my experiences with these crazy feelings, and that I am a person who believes in Jesus Christ. Here I will talk about what I went through, and then what God did for me to help me recover and heal. Even if you are not a Christian, you should still read through this, as I will tell you helpful tips and advice on how to cope when you're feeling out of it as the disoder tends to make us feel. Another note important to know is that I took no drug,or took any medication prior to my first depersonalization episode. (These are not mental disorders, depersonalization and derealization feelings occur when you are really stressed out, anxious or went through something scary. It is your brain's way of ''tuning out'' your bad feelings by making you feel ''cut off'' from reality. It's not dangerous, nor is it serious. Almost everyone has had this feeling. I've had it, my brother had it, my mom had it, and a girl from my dance class had it. It's nothing to be afraid of! Take comfort in that, because you can.)

''God is our refuge and our strength, a very present help in trouble.'' Psalm 46:1 God understands, too, how depersonaliaztion and derealization feel. He also wants you to come to Him for comfort and relief from what scary feelings you are having. Don't think you are the only one who has experienced this. The Bible assures us that Jesus was both 100% God and 100% man, and that He faced the same temptations and was tested in the same ways as we are.

Chapter one will deal with the causes of these feelings. I also will go ''in depth'' and show you how the mechanics of Depersonalization and Derealization make sense. Throughout my articles, I will use the initals to refer to these crazy feelings, ''DP'' for Depersonalization and ''DL'' for Derealization. I know how weird and scary this sensation can make you feel, and I have first-hand experience and advice I want to share with you so you too can also rise above this disorderly affliction.
