Beast Boy's P.O.V.

I walk through the forest at a leisurely pace, my shoulders relaxed and my strides continue at a comfortable rhythm. Shadows danced in the grass around me, the sun sitting in the middle of the sky with no clouds around to bother it. Leaves brushed together chatting lightly every time a gush of wind would bulge through the area. Grass caressed the tips of my shoes all the way around, almost as if worshiping a higher power. Birds lazily sat around across branches, they would sing their tune as it would play into my ears nicely. Every so often I would hear another animal a ways away, they would jump through the grass quickly, the movement would cause a crashing amount of sound. It would disturb the peace of the surrounding natural area. Nature worked the same way that the city did on a regular afternoon, every bit of sound mixed into a beautiful orchestra. Although sometimes one instrument would slip up and ruin the whole piece, however the slip up would be quickly overlooked and the sounds would once again meld together warmly.

My eyes were closed, a content smile played across my lips as i walked through the forest. However I heard the sound of a large amount of people in one area. I changed direction and started towards the area that caused such a commotion. My eyes were open once again and my strides faster. Of course I wanted to get there quickly, trees were jumping past my line of sight as i noticed less details. Roughly 3 minutes after hearing the noises, i came out of the edge of the forest. I saw buildings scattered around in a random pattern, kids running around playing what seemed to be tag. Adults walked around the sidewalk with paces that said," I have somewhere to be." etched into every step. He started down the street in a more relaxed sort of pace. His footsteps softly tapped the ground with each swift, relaxed and comfortable step he takes.

A content smile playing at his pink lips, his sandy blonde hair flowing in the wind behind him. His body relaxed as he walked, this made him look like a normal teenage guy. His ear twitched as he passed an alleyway, his head whipped towards the direction of the sound, once he realized what he had heard. A muffled scream and shuffling of shoes grinding rocks into the cement. He heard what seemed to be clothing rustling beneath a strong and forceful grip. He launched himself into the alleyway, throwing his conscious out of control.
"Who are you?" He heard an older man grunt out as he saw Garfield.
"Call me Garfield." Beast boy says, a slight smirk as he jumps up and whips his leg around towards the shaded face of a bulking man. The mans hand blocks Garfields foot and a loud smack is rippled through the air. He grabs Gars leg and swung him out of the alleyway and to the sidewalk. Garfield lands on his feet as he does a flip through the air, the man runs out of the alleyway after Garfield lands. Beast boy notices a scar that is etched ruggedly down the side of the bulking mans face.
"Come on boy, your no match for me." The booming voice with spit launching out in each direction- warns. Beast boy only smiles at the challenging tone of the man. He stands up and starts running at the man, he notices a slight smile creep into the mans face as he swipes his hands forwards expecting to make contact with Garfield. Beast boy however, he had different plans. He had seen the attack in slow motion, he anticipated this as he jumped up diving over the lower left hand. He did a flip in mid air to land on his feet ready to swipe the mans feet from under him. The attack had shocked the man as he tumbled backwards, he hit the floor with a thundering sound. Beast Boy jumped from his current position to stop the mans chest. In his dazed confusion, the man had been punched in the face by beast boy. This was the final blow as a loud snore escaped the gaping mouth from the prone giant.

Garfield stands up from his squatting position over the bulking figure. The silenced man had caused an eerie noise of nothingness over the recently gathered crowd. A woman came shuffling out of the alleyway. She threw her arms around Gar, she mumbled many thanks over and over in his ear. Everyone still shocked, they stood with their eyes wide but mouths either agape or made them seem sewed shut. A siren cut into the air rudely, everyone looked away from the intoxicating seen and over their shoulders. An Ambulance and a Police cruiser parked themselves in a row there. Soon following, a news can slide around the corner hauling towards them.

Within an hour, Garfield had been questioned multiple times. His face would be all over every news article the next morning. He was also broadcasted across all the news stations. He understood why of course. People were confused, excited and worried. He was too normal to be able to take down a man that size. They were wondering whether I'd show up more or if this was the first and last time I would make an appearance. I knew one thing at least. I was gonna leave this town.

If I had decided to stay, people would know me to well. That was a no-go. I needed to stay in the dark until I was ready. This one time can slide, but next time I'll have to run. No one can know I exist until I'm ready for them to.

I had left town that night, the forest creepy and damp from a storm that had passed through. I sighed as I tossed my arms behind my head as I walked. Raven flashed across my mind as I stared up into the midnight blue sky. Stars dotted the sky with excitement and childlike antics. My backpack hung onto my shoulders tightly. I had quite a few things in there. However, what I needed most, I couldn't have.

Raven...
