Ugh. I hate tests. Especially when they're in another language.

I was sitting in room 127, taking my Italian final exam. Then, all of a sudden, I fell off my chair and onto the floor.

“Jess, are you okay?” Elizabeth said.

Elizabeth was one of my closest friends. She lives right next door to me, so we hang out a lot, and I’ve known her since before pre-k.

“Yeah, Lizzie, I’m fine.”

“Okay.” She said, turning back around to finish her test.

I got to problem #23 when it happened again. I fell and I didn’t know why.

When I got to #45, it happened again. And then at #64.

But when it happened the last time, I fell with a loud thud that spread across the whole room. Everyone looked at me with bewildered eyes.

“Jessica, are you okay?” Mrs. Scruff said.

“Yeah...”

“Why do you keep falling?”

“I don’t kn-“

“Are you okay?”

I looked and saw a tall man with dark hair standing next to my desk. He must have pushed me!

“It was him!” I said pointing at the man.

“Who?”

“Him! This man! He’s standing right here!”

“Do you need to go to the nurse?”

“No! He’s right there! How do you not see him?”

“Someone take her to the nurse.”

“I don’t need the nurse!!”

“I’ll take her.” Lauren said.

“No. I’ll do it.” Lizzie said.

“No, it’s okay. I can.” Lauren replied.

Lauren walked me out of the room.

“I don’t need to go to the nurse.” I grumbled.

“I know.”

“WELL- wait. What?” I said stopping in my tracks.

“I said, I know.” She replied. “I saw him too.”

“Really?! Then you can come with me and tell them that he’s really there!”

“No I can’t!”

“Why not?”

“I’ve tried before. It’s no use. They cant see him.”

“Why?”

“Because they’re not aware of the strange happenings in this town.”

“What strange happenings?”

“That man that pushed you. He was a ghost. And only you and I can see him.”

“What do you mean only we can see him?”

“I’m a seer. I can see what no one else sees. And apparently you can too.”

“How?”

“It has something to do with the magic that we were all born with, I don’t know. But I know who does know.”

“Who?”

“This weekend come over and I’ll show you who it is.”

“Okay. But what if the man pushes me again?”

“I don’t know. But we can ask her.”

“But who is her?”

“You’ll find out, okay?”

“Okay.”

“Wanna go back to the class room?”

“Yeah.”

“Okay, let’s go.”
