Hermione's POV
Hermione was awoken by the rays of light streaming in her room left from the half opened window from which she forgot to close last night. She groaned and turned on her other side throwing the big red colored duvet designed with gold trimmings on the end. She soon found it hard to let sleep take her as their were loud hooting coming from the window, she groaned again and as she sat up on her bed rubbing her eyes trying to vanish the sleep she so desperately needed, she finally got her eyes to focus on the hooting from the window she now realized wasn't coming from the window any longer because the owl that was once perched outside the window was now perched on her window she was surprised when she saw the owl and recognized it ,of course she had, it has been at least 6 months since the second wizarding war left its scars behind, some scars were good while others were bad.She threw the duvet off her and she got up and stretched on the edge of the bed, gaining impatient hooting from the window now. She sighed "I'm coming" saying as softly as she could though this owl did clearly ruin her sleep. She got up and walked up to the owl untied the letter from its left leg and went to it some owl treats which it gladly took and banished through the window.
She took a deep breath in and exhaled it out as though it had been hours she last breathed out. She recognized the stiff parchment that looked liked it had been stained from coffee and the stamp that helped it stay closed. Never the less she took it with shaking hands and broke the seal and opened it. It read,
Dear Miss Granger,
I am very sorry to interrupt you so early in the morning. I hope all is well now that there shall be no more fear in the Wizarding World or Muggle world either. On behalf of Hogwarts and the entire wizarding community we thank you for risking your life to save others.
I know it was hard to watch as people fell before you and welcomed death. Especially loved ones and friends. Though we all lost loved ones in the war in a most horrible manner possible by the hands of Death Eaters or even Voldemort himself. But let's not dwell on the past shall we?
If you have not read the Daily Prophet as yet, I personally would like to inform you of Hogwarts re- opening their gates to students again! Very exciting isn't it?
As a war heroin and also " The Brightest Witch of our age" we would love for you to do us the honor of coming back to re-do your seventh year as it was rudely interrupted.
And if you do return to Hogwarts we would love to give you the spot as Head Girl. The spot had been waiting for you from since your 2nd year of Hogwarts after what you and your friends had to overcome at no younger than 11 or 12. I hope to see you Miss Granger.Yours sincerely
Professor McGonagall.Of course I would be coming back to Hogwarts never the less! Hermione said voice gleaming with glee.
She glanced at the clock 9:00am.
"Shoots" she cursed loudly before running in the bathroom brushing her teeth, using the loo and dabbing her mouth with her towel drying her mouth.
The. She rushed down stairs, letter in hand, ready to tell her parents the exciting news.
