More Than This - Chapter 1

*Holly's POV*

The last thing I ever wanted to do was to get caught up in the Hollywood drama but look at me now, my face plastered on every magazine cover.

- 2 months earlier -

I stepped out of the subway with my best friend Janine. After a long day at high school all we wanted to do was to relax and watch a movie but we couldn't we had to work at my Aunts popular clothing boutique. I finished buttoning my dark purple pea coat and walked up the damp concrete stairs to see the busy streets of Chicago. Janine and I walked down the crowd of people and opened the door of the boutique.

"You guys are late." My aunt Stella said flipping threw a stack of papers at the cash register. Her light brown hair tightly pulled back in a neat bun, wearing a black blazer, and dark blue jeans with black ankle boots.

"Sorry i had to stay after school and discuss som stuff with my teacher." I said taking off my coat and hanging it on a silver coat rack near the back of the store.

"Its okay, just try not to be 30 minutes late next time." Aunt Stella stated.

Janine unrapped her black and white knit scarf and hung it up next to my coat. We started to rearrange the graphic shirts and orangized the jean racks.

"Did you hear that One Direction is comint to Chicago?" Janine said breaking the silence.

"Really? Thats awesome! I love their song Moments." I stated.

"I do too and guess what? I scored us two backstag passes!" She squealed in excitement.

"How?!?"

"My grandpa is friends with the guy who owns the concert area where their going to perform in."

"OMG I'm so excited. When is it?"

"In 3 days!" Janine said straghting the hand bags hanging on the hooks against the wall.

I love One Direction ever since they were on the X-Factor. My favorite guy is Niall Horan. I let out a squeal, I cant believe I'm going to meet him! A girl that looks a little older than me was stareing. I just ignored her and continued to work.

After work, we bought some clothes for the concert. I bought a pair of light blue jeggings, a floral long sleeve blouse, and tan Uggs. Janine bought a black and white off the shoulder top, dark wash skinny jeans, and black strappy high heels.

We walked back home and I unlocked the door and went inside. Janine lives with my family because 6 months ago her mom and dad died in a car accident. Luckily, she only excaped the accident with a couple broken ribs. She didn't want to move in with her grandparents because she want to switch schools and would never get to see me and her other friends. So, she just moved in with my family. Once in a while, she wakes up crying because she has nightmares of the event. I feel so sorry for her.

I cooked dinner for everybody, we were having btter noodles and garlic bread. We ate in silence until I brought up the One Direction concerts.

"Mom, is it okay if Janine and I go out on Saturday because she got backstage passes to see my favorite band, One Direction." I asked my mom.

"Sure sweetie, as long as you come home right after the concert. I dont like you staying out so late in this big ciy."

"Okay mom, i promise." I got up and hugged my mom and dad.

At 11pm I changed into a old shirt and a pair of pajama pants and went to bed. I was so tired and i fell instantly asleep, i dreamed about how i will meet the boys from 1D.
