Chapter 2

Save me out of this darkness.....

Im awoken by the bright light shining through the blinds, I put my hand on my forehead blocking it from my sore face. I feel my back as i touch the scar from where the glass went threw my skin.

I gently rub my finger down the stitches...I guess my mom found some strength in her last night and removed the glass and cleaned it up. she always was a very good nurse to her daughter and her patients...I slowly turn my head and look around my room seeing if all my toys and stuff are where I left them...nothing changed. Then my stomach made a weird sound so i knew i starving, i slowly stand up as whine in pain i slowly make my way to the door. before i open the door all the way i have a flashback of what happened last night, i try to forget the image but it won't leave my mind. i just focus on the door knob and turn it.

I creep Half way down the steps I immediately smell the sweet bacon and eggs with nice baked toast with strawberry jam on top and my favorite blueberry Pancakes with nice maple syrup spread all over it.... yum. I continue my way down the steps, making sure i don't make a sound.

I peek my head around the corner I dont see the shattered pieces of glass or all the damage that was done yesterday night. I look up and see my mom placing two plates of food on the counter and another on a tray. I make my way to the kitchen as my mom reaches for the orange juice. She turns around and jumps, as she places her hand over her heart.

"sorry I scared you mommy". I say with puppy dog eyes. she grabs me in to a tight warm hug, i whine in pain but try to enjoy the hug. she releases me.

"Sorry" she whispers.

"Its ok mommy you didn't mean it" .

there's nothing but silence for a few seconds. We hear movement from mommy and daddy's room, we look in the direction and back at each other. she breaks the silence. "Ok darling I have to go to work soon and so does your dad so I will take you to Aunt Stacey's house, you can stay over there for a few weeks",mom says in a hurry voice.

"Your dad and I have to do business outside of town ok sweetheart?", she asked

"Yes mommy".

Eat your breakfast while I get your stuff ok.

"Yes ma'am",I watch her head up the stairs , I then look at my food and dive right in. I hear foot steps walking towards me, I assume its my mom but I was surely wrong. It was my father. He walks in the kitchen I look at him with no expression but inside im full of pure rage. "Hey little brat how you feeling".he says with a grin.

I just stare at him for a little while and dig back in to my breakfast.

" I thought I asked you a question, don't end up like your worthless mother". he chuckles at end.

"My Mommy is not worthless?! I scream. I quickly cover my mouth on what I just said. He gets angry and slaps me hard enough where I fall to the floor on my side, I cry in pain and my mom rushes down the steps and helps me up trying not to hurt me and looks at David and takes me to the bathroom where she wraps my arm up.

Nothing but silence, after she done she grabs my hand and grabs my bag. she takes me with her as she grabs her purse and keys in her room. Before we can leave out the house daddy is standing in front of the door. "Can you please move David". she says calmly as she can. Nope. and why not. "Because you cant leave with out giving me a kiss", he says with a grin as his stinky breath fills the room.

"Please David your going to make me late".

"Does it look like i care", as he points to his face. She leans in and peaks him on the cheek and try's to move pass him. Aahhh- aahh-ahhhh, he says shaking his head. I need more than that, and grabs her by the waist and pulls her close clenching her hip tight.

He whispers in her ear. "when I want something I expect to you to give it to me then". He releases and winks at her. she grabs my hand and pull me to the car. I look back at him and he grins at me and says I'll get you too princess. By then I was in my car seat, buckled up. We slowly pull out the drive way, my eyes locked on my dad till I can no longer see him... My mom whispers to herself "He makes me sick".

We soon arrive at my Aunts house she lives far from where we live, My mom unbuckles my seat belt and we walk up to the door. Before my mom could knock, Aunt Stacey opens her door wide open as her smile matches the door . "Hey Love bun".! she says as she hugs me tightly. I whine out of pain. she doesn't now what happened last night. "Oh sorry love bun",she then hugs her sister and gesture us to come in. Your cousins Jake and Stella are upstairs they have been waiting on you all week.She says with a smile. I run up stairs,
I haven't seen my cousins in a year. I walk in too Stella's room and i see her and jake sitting on the bed watching Tom and Jerry. Hey guys i say with a big smile. They jump up and squeeze me tightly. It hurts but im getting use to the pain. Hey Blu I haven't seen you in a long time Jake says. Yea, Stella joins in. We should go to the park. Stella says all excited. Yeaaa!! we say.

Aunt Stacey brust through the door and grabs me and hugs me. "You can stay as long as you want...He cant hurt you here". Im shocked at first on what she said but then i think harder ,my mom must have told her.

Ummm Mom. Stella says. Yea sweet 'em. Can we go to the park. "Yea sure come on", .

Yeyyy!!! we all shout.

At the park...

Wheeeeehh!! I say going down the slide with my hands reaching for the sky. "Hey no fair i was going to get on that swing", Jake says with both arms folded. Stella turns around and sticks her tongue out. Oh well. she giggles. Lets play tag i say excitedly, but something catches the corner of my eye. I turn my head and see a curly headed boy sitting alone on a bench looking at me ,He looks my age i think to my self but when i snap out of my thoughts i realize are eyes are locked. I try to snap out of my gaze but i cant, Soon enough my cousins hit me on my arm. SNAP OUT OF IT. They yell in my ears. "Ok ok im out of it jezz", i say holding my ears seeing if i still can hear. We hear aunt Stacy scream "Come on kids". We race to the car I slowly start to pace down and take a couple of breaths before i look over my shoulder and glance at the boy as his mother grabs his hand gesturing its time to go, but the hole time he was staring at me not even realizing that his mom was fousin at him.

He then snaps back in to reality and starts to walk with his mom. Come on Blu, Stella shouts looking out the window at me. I run and get in the car...Sorry i took so long. it's ok Stella says with a smile. we start to pull off, but the thought of the boy keeps running through my head.... We reach the house. We start to unbuckle are seat belts and get out of the car.

Hey look its the we seen at the park. As i look i see the boy right across the street. Aunt Stacey sees us staring and follows . Oh they just moved here yesterday, I had spoke to the lady yesterday and they should be coming over tonight for dinner so be on your best behavior. she says pointing at us. We nod in agreement and head into the house.
Hey beat you to the room. jake says getting ready to run. Hey no fair but I'm going to get there first I say. No your not I am, Stella joins in. Not if i get there first i say taking off running. I hear there foot steps getting closer I jump on the bed and laugh as they run into the room. told u i would beat you i say standing on the bed. We will get you next time they say giggling . We all play the wii and relax with a drink and some fruit snacks waiting for dinner to get ready.
