God knows you are not perfect. In no way shape or form does he expect you to be perfect or anything close to it. The only perfect person or thing is our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ.
If you were perfect God you would have never put on this earth to begin with. He believes in you, and loves you more than you can ever imagine.
Back to the topic at hand. God doesn't want you to be perfect he just wants you to praise and love him through everything you do. He also wants you to follow the Ten Commandments.
You shall have no other gods before Me.
You shall not make idols.
You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Honor your father and your mother.
You shall not murder.
You shall not commit adultery.
You shall not steal.
You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
You shall not covet.
He didn't give us the Ten Commandments for life to be hard on us. But to make life better for both ourselves and other people. Just remember no matter what you do God will always be waiting for you with open arms. He loves you more than ever imaginable.
