I woke up and rolled over to look at my phone. 10:23. That means I have 8 hours before the date with Ryder. I opened up my phone to see 5 new messages from Bowery. Not surprised I read through them. It was basically our normal texts of teen girly ness talking about boys and dresses and what's in and what's ew. I responded and unplugged my phone. I opened my curtains to see that it was gorgeous outside and that I was home alone. Shocker. I hardly ever see my parents and when I do they're ether drunk, getting ready to go out to the bars or passed out somewhere in the house. It wasn't always like this. We used to be your picture perfect family. Ate home cooked breakfast and dinner together everyday. And I mean like eggs bacon and waffles for breakfast and steak or chicken Alfredo or something fancy for dinner. Mom used to make me lunch for school everyday. Doing things as a family like going to the beach or game nights. That all changed when my brother Rawson Hunter went into the marines. Since he's not around I basically have to fend for myself which I don't have a problem with because I've become quite the cook if I do say so myself. After about 5 minutes of thinking of the good days I turned on some country music. I went to my walk-in closet and went to my bathing suit section. I picked out my new bikini. It was a strapless white top that reminded me of the infinity symbol. The bottoms are white and navy blue polka dots. I slip out of my shirt and shorts and slid into my bikini. After all was good I tied my hair up in a messy bun and grabbed my phone. I headed downstairs to grab something to eat. Something light like always so I grabbed a banana and a cup of water. When I finished I grabbed a towel and headed outside to where the pool was. I plugged my phone into the outdoor speakers and turned it to pump up music. I went down to the deep end and drove in practicing my starts for swim. I did the basic warm ups and drills than just kept swimming laps. After doing what felt like 1000 laps I climbed out and dried off. I grabbed my phone to see a new message. I smiled ear to ear when I saw it was from Ryder.
*Hey Hudson! I can't wait to see you later! It's going to be so much fun!*
*Hey Ry! I know I can't wait ether. I've waited a long time for this day to come.*
*you and me both. I'll text you later. Dads making me work on the farm.*
*have fun ya country boy!*
I smiled to myself at that one. I went back inside and grabbed a t-shirt out of the dryer. I slipped it on than sat in the couch flipping on the tv and switched it to Netflix and started watching my favorite show of American horror story. Before I knew it I had finished 3 and a half episodes. I looked at my phone. 2:56. I still have 3 and a half hours I thought to myself. Another episode of American horror story here I come! 4:07. I still have a lot of time to kill so I grabbed my yoga mat and did some yoga along with some core workouts coach wanted me to do. After I finished the sets I went to the kitchen and grabbed a protein bar and a glass of water. 4:48. Perfect I thought and headed upstairs to my room and went into my bathroom. I hoped in the shower and started getting ready for my date. I used my favorite body wash and the shampoo that does wonders for my hair. I finished up and picked out my outfit. I picked out a cute peach colored summer dress with white anchors on it and paired it with a cute brown rope belt and a cute pair of brown sandals. By the time I got dressed my hair was dry. God how I love thin hair. I plugged in my curling iron. Well that was heating up I did my makeup. I did a natural look with light colors. I'm not one to go crazy with makeup at least it looked good with my blue eyes. 5:37. Perfect. I started my hair which took longer than I expected but when I finished it was 6:11. I pulled a small section of my hair back and hid the Bobby pins with a cute bow which brought out the redish tints in my brown hair. I packed a small bag for my wallet a t-shirt and pants. I was just about to sit down when I heard the door bell ring. I looked out my window and saw his car. I grabbed my bag and phone and headed down stairs. I opened the door to see a 6'4 brown hair blue-greened eye boy. He bent down and hugged me well I was standing on my tip toes. He's a whole 14 inches taller than I.
"You clean up nicely" I say with a slight giggle.
"As do you my dear lady." As soon as he said that i started blushing. "You're so adorable." After he said this he leaned down and kissed my cheek. Causing me to look like a lobster. "Before I make you blush how about we go." I smiled and pushed a piece of hair behind my ears. I closed the door and started walking down the walk way. Ryder was at my door wanting to open it. I climbed in and buckled up.
