Melina Floros moved from Greece when she was 7, now she was 16 years old and still hasn't gotten used to the sleepless country of the United States. Melina hasn't made any friends since she moved from Athens, she was a loner.
Melina lived with her mother, they fled from Greece after her father died, which also had something to do with the whole anti-social thing. Melina lead a pretty boring life, that is until she found out something she wasn't supposed to.

5 years after leaving Greece...

Melina was walking the halls of her home when she heard a crash coming from her stepfather's study. "Santo?" She questioned peering into the room. When she looked inside the study she saw her mother holding one of Santo's miniature sculptures made of concrete. The statue of a horse was covered in blood, and on the floor lay Santo, her stepfather was laying in a pool of his own blood. "Mama, what happened?" Melina said nervously staring at Santo's body. "Mama?" tears started to fill her brown eyes. "Hush my darling child" her mother said holding Melina in her arms. Melina was in shock, she had grown really close to Santo, and there he was, dead, murdered by his wife. Melina pushed her mother away and ran down the hall. She wiped the tears from her eyes and couldn't stop running, it was like she had no control over her legs, she was running but she didn't know where.

Present Day...

Believe it or not, Melina's mother got away with Santo's murder and remarried a rich man named Barclay Aiken. Melina hated Barclay, her mother only married him because he was rich. Her mother had a plan she became pregnant with Barclay's child, then she would divorce him and make him pay child support. Melina nicknamed the baby boy "Spawn of Satan". Barclay was abusive to Melina, but treated Ross like an angel. Eventually Melina had enough and talked to her mother about their 'situation'

"Mother, why did you kill Santo, he was a sweet man" Melina complained, she decided to beat around the bush instead of getting to the point right away.
"I did what I had to do sweetie" her mother said proudly.
"What do you mean?" Melina pounded her fist on the table in the sitting room.
"He was very rich, we needed the money" her mother acted like it was no big deal.
"Then why did you marry Barclay?" Melina's face was getting red.
"Because I love him" her mother answered, you could definitely tell she was lying.
"You're full of crap!" Melina yelled in her mothers face "You hate Ross and Barclay! I know you mama and I know when you're lying to me!"
Her mother left the room "Goodbye child."

Melina screamed in fury. "Barclay needs to die!" then Melina felt a sharp pain in her stomach "Ow!" She sat down on the couch. She lifted up her shirt to reveal a scar, then the memories started to come back...

"Melina, Melina, wake up" "Go away Scarlett!" Melina groaned, she pulled the pillow over her head. "Melina!" Scarlett pushed her off of the bed "Se misó" Melina yelled. "Come on Melina get dressed I want to show you something!" Scarlett yelled. Melina got up off the cold wooden floor. "Se misó" she grumbled. Melina put on a thin white tank top, and some shorts, then as Scarlett advised, she put on sneakers. "Where are you taking me Scarlett?" Melina rolled her eyes as at her. "You'll see!" After another half hour of walking Melina and Scarlett stopped at feild and in the middle stood a giant oak. "Here!" Scarlett yelled pointing at the tree. She ran over it and started to climb "What are you doing?" Melina yelled up. Scarlett gestured Melina to climb up so she did. Melina stared at the view "Wow!" She said in awe. Then the branch her and Scarlett were sitting on was cracking "Scarlett!" Melina yelled. The branch broke off and Melina fell. The other branches were piercing Melina's skin, until she fell on one and sliced her stomach "Scarlett!" Melina yelled in pure agony. She noticed the girl was falling, hitting her head and getting severely cut. Melina started to cry "Scarlett!?" Melina yelled frantically, no answer "Scarlett!?" Then the world went black. A few weeks later Melina and her parents went to Scarlett's funeral. "She fought hard." Her father said, he put his hand on her shoulder "I love you daddy," Melina said with tears coming from her eyes.

"Scarlett!" Melina yelled, but she didn't even realize it. Scarlett was her best friend back in Greece, you know, before she died. Melina knew it was a miracle that she lived, and she thanked God everyday. Melina had a rough childhood, shortly after Scarlett died, her father did. Her mother had enough of Greece and needed a fresh start, that's when they moved to America. Then Melina realized it, why she would never get close to anyone, because she grew up next to death's door. This revelation smacked Melina right back into reality. "I can't live like this!" and then she ran down the halls to her room.

Melina pulled a backpack and a suitcase out of the depths of her closet, she filled the suitcase with clothes and other essentials. She packed the backpack with some of her valuables and food. Are you sure about this? A voice rang in her head. Of course she thought. Melina picked up the suitcase and flung the backpack onto her shoulders very sure. Melina snuck downstairs and put her hand on the metal doorknob. Okay let's do this! Melina twisted the doorknob and walked out on the queen of death, the queen's fat husband, and their demon child. Goodbye Mother, forever. Then Melina ran off and never returned.
