Wrong Side of Heaven

Damian couldn't believe his eyes. In front of him was his friends, all in red stasis tubes and looking realy beat up. Garfield had a broken arm for goodness sake. His mother's sickeningly sweet voice rang out behind him.
" See honey? There fine. Now I want to show you something."
With more willpower than he would have liked to admit, Damian pulled himself away from the terrifying sight of his imprisoned team mates. Once again, Talia led him through the labyrinth of the warehouse. Her chipper mood was un-soured as they marched up to a few workers that had decided to slack off. They were laughing at a joke that one of there coworkers had told. As Talia approached, the entire area went silent. The douche kept talking, completely unaware of the deadly presence behind him.  Damian hardly flinched when Talia snapped the guys neck. Deep in the back of his mind, he knew that other people would have screamed or at least flinched as the blood trickled down the man's slack jaw. At this point, the area was dead silent,as if the machinery itself was afraid to anger the murderous woman. After a minuet of the deafening silence, Talia finally spoke.
" Well? Get back to work!" The area burst back into a flurry of sound and action. It was then that Damian realized just how much of a hold his mother could have over people. And that he was out of his league.  He followed silently behind her as she led him to the very back of the warehouse. There he was lead into a cage elevator. As the door closed behind them, Damian put his hands behind his back, rotating the distress beacon on his wrist to just the right angle. From there he tapped it twice, activating the one way com that could only be herd by batman. All he needed to do was get Talia talking.
"Mother, as pleasing as it is to see you again, you are not the kind of person to go through the trouble of kidnapping my team just to socialize. What do you want from me?" Talia sighed. She turned to the boy that looked surprisingly a lot like his father. Her sweet, serine smile never left her lips."Damian, my son, I want you to come back to me. I understand that you made your decision two years ago, but i want you to reconsider. Rule by my side, Damian! And we will show the world what true power is..... just like your grandfather would have wanted." Damian turned back to the front of the elevator just as it stopped.
