Jake and Dirk's House

Dave sat on the couch of his brother's and his new brother-in-law's house. Jake and Dirk were finally engaged and Jake was the one to pop the question.

Dave had always had his bets on Jake proposing, even though Dirk said he would be the one to do it. Secretly, Dave had been helping Jake plan out the proposal the entire time.

There was something on his mind, though.

How was HE supposed to propose to KARKAT next week.

He didn't even have a ring yet, or a plan!

But that didn't stop him from being determined to make it the best proposal ever.

He was thinking about taking Karkat to a rose garden at midnight. The stars would be out and there would be a candlelit path. There would be a bench in front of a fountain sitting beneath the sky. He would then propose. But how could he afford all this?

But, he needed to forget about that for a while. He was hanging out with family.

The thought lingered for a bit, then was pushed to the back of his mind.

"And then we kissed!" Said Jake.

He was finishing up their proposal story. Dave couldn't believe he missed the story by thinking of Karkat! Enough was enough. He needed to leave to get the ring.
