Maddie had eventually gotten through the air mattresses and left Mackenzie to sleep.Now it was dinner and things were awkward for both families.
'Alright are we all ready to eat now?!' Asked Erno
'Oh just like that?!' Melissa said, taken back
'Did we forget something?!' Said Kendall rudely
'Well at our house we always say grace!' Said Melissa looking down at her feet
'Oh, well um we can do that!' Smiled Erno
'Thanks baby, would you like to do the honours?!'
'Sure!' Said Erno, everyone sat down and closed there eyes putting their hands together, 'Dear god, you are such a great God...god, and we thank you sweet lord of heavenly hosts for the...smorgasbord you lay out in front of us, day by day, by day, day by day, oh god three things we prey, to love the more dearly, to see the more clearly, to follow the more dearly day by day by day amen!'
'Amen!' Everyone said but what they were really thinking was what in the world just happened
'That sucked!' Maddie frowned, gobbling up a mouthful of steak
'Well I'm pretty new to this Maddie, but I'll um try harder!' Erno said
'Don't say my dad sucks!' Said Kendall
'Well he does, but not as hard as you!' Maddie smirked
'Oh that is it!' Screeched Kendall, she grabbed a handful of salad and threw it right at Maddie
'Aww I hate you!' Maddie screamed throwing her glass it orange juice straight onto Kendall's white blouse
'Argh!' Kendalls shrieked, as she got up from the table and slapped Maddie
Just as Melissa was about to let Kendall have it Mackenzie came waddling down the stairs, her legs spread out as she tried to run, 'Mummy mummy I have diareer!' She cried, 'i did a boom boom in my dipey! 'Oh honey come in I'll change you!' Melissa said carrying Mackenzie up the stairs
'Kendall go to your room!' Shouted Erno
'But I...'
'I said go!' Erno screamed Kendall crossed her arms and went up the stairs
'Are you okay Maddie?!' Erno asked, Maddie shook her head, 'it hurts!' She said, referring to the red hand mark across her face, 'go and take a shower the water might soother your face!' He said Maddie nodded, for once listening to her step father
