we've been hanging out for months.

and along the way,

my feelings for you started growing.

but i wanted it to be gone,

because i was scared

that something bad might happen,

like the last time i fell for a guy.

so i started avoiding you.

and you noticed.

in school, i would avoid being around you.

but you had my number saved on your phone,

so you kept on texting me,

asking me why i was ignoring you.

but i lied, and said
that i wasn't.

but like always, you knew that i was lying.

so you called me,

again and again until i would answer.

i wanted so bad to ignore your calls,

but you were too irresistible.

i felt bad,

because i was ignoring the guy

who made me feel like i was important.

when i answered your call,

the first thing you asked was,

'are you okay?'
in a calm voice.

you didn't yell.

so i was surprised.

i answered back, but then you replied with

'i miss you.'

and in that moment,

a single tear escaped my eye.

and i couldn't ignore you longer,

because i fell hard for you.
