I feel really bad for making y'all read all that schtuff at the bottom of the last chapter.

My horse's name is Solo. My parents named her, and she wouldn't respond to anything else by the time they gave her to me. I wanted to call her Pegacorn or Space Unicorn or something...
Anyway, she is black. Black as black can get. She has one white star, on her chest, and she owns a magnificent pair of chocolatey brown orbs most people call eyes.
She gets me to school, from school, to my friend's houses, from them, down the highway, up the highway, to my family's ranch and back, etc. She takes me everywhere.
And she's smarter than most people.
Like one time, I was cooking at home alone, and I left the cookies in the oven for a bit too long. I fell asleep while watching TV, and the house would have burned down if Solo hadn't dragged me out of the house and run to our local fire station and alerted the firemen. Not to mention I probably would have died in the fire. Luckily, only minimal damage was done and I didn't even get a single burn.
Another time, I was out riding and I fell off and broke my leg in two places and Solo dragged me on to her back and carried me home. Still another time, I had brought Solo into the living room (it was freezing outside) and told her not to poop and ran out to get some groceries. A robber broke into our house while I was gone. He was confronted with a very angry, very territorial, very protective Solo. He was incapacitated momentarily.
The list goes on.
Needless to say, Solo and I were inseparable from the day she was born, about two or three months before my sixteenth birthday.
And then came the day my life changed forever.

I absolutely cannot get the image of me riding on the back of Teddy the person out of my mind. I busted out laughing in the middle of Sunday School today and my teachers looked at me strangely.
