Chapter 4

"Got your bag?" My dad asked, "Yeah" I answered as I grabbed my backpack.

We left our condo room and locked it.

"Ah, dad"

He looked at me as we waited for the elevator. "Can I.. go to someone first?" I asked.

He was silent for a moment but then nodded. I thanked him as we both saw the elevator door open.

"I'll be waiting for you at the parking area" He said, I nodded.

I stared at the door. I took a deep breath and knocked.

"Yes, can I- Konoe?" I looked up and saw Kaito.

"Hey.." I waved, "Hey, uhh.. Where are you headed?" He pointed to my backpack.

"Oh, I'm.. leaving" I said, "I was only staying here for a few days" I added.

"Ah" He nodded, "And.. I- Uhh.. I wanted to say goodbye" I nervously said.

"Oh well, the two of them are still asleep" He chuckled. "I could wake them u-"

I shook my head, "You don't have too" I said. "Just tell them I said goodbye.. and thank Kanagawa-kun for everything" I bowed.

"I'll surely tell them later" He said, he smiled and patted my head.

"Have a safe trip" He grinned. I bowed and was about to turn back.

"Ah, Konoe" He called, "Yes?" I looked back at him. He paused for a minute, "Thanks for being a friend to my brother" He said.

I smiled, "No problem" I waved and entered the elevator that just opened.

That's the last time, I'm ever going to see them..

I sighed.

*Smack*

I jolted up, "OW!" I looked beside me, "What the heck was that for?!" I asked Kaito.

"Your girlfriend came over and said goodbye" He said, I yawned.

"Girlfriend..?" I blinked, "I don't have a-...wait" I shook my head.

"You mean, Konoe-san?" I blinked once more. "Oh so she is your girlfriend?" He asked amusingly.

"Wha- I.. Tch, shut up" I threw a pillow at him and looked away. He laughed.

"But seriously, she did say goodbye" He said, "I heard you the first time.." I said.

"Are you sulking?" Kaito smirked, "I'm not" I sighed. "Its like you said before I guess.. There's more fish in the sea"

"Or.. you could meet her again" He said, "If she ever comes back before the day we start to move out" I looked at him.

He nodded, "Fair point" I laid back down on my bed.

"Plus, I never gave her my number" I said, "I kinda regret that" I added.

"Yeah, you're an idiot" He threw the pillow I hit him with back at me as I sat back up.

I just took it to the side of my face and sighed.

Kaito sat beside me and patted my head. "What are you doing?"

"As the Nii-chan, I will make sure you're happy today!" He exclaimed as he put his hands to each side of his waist.
