I dedicate this to my no. 1 fan and sister: screeching_narwhalsIts amazing how time flies by so quickly like it was last week when Sket Dance had their first client. Himeko shivered as the December wind blew across her face. She buried her hands deeper in the pockets of her brown, long, coat. "Himeko-san!" a voice called from behind. "Ah, Suzu-chan!" she exclaimed in reply. Apparently Chuu-san and Onee-san got married years ago bringing Suzu-chan a complete family and another sister. Himeko smiled at the thought. She is really happy for them. "What brings you here?" "Oh I was going to buy something." Suzu-chan replied.
"On your own?" Himeko asked, worried what might happen to the poor thing if something happened to her. "Yeah, dad said I am responsible enough to get out of the house myself." Well, typical Chuu-san. she thought. Tetsuji Chuma has always been a careless man ever since she was studying in Kaimei High School. Heck, he went too far by setting some of his students (including herself) to change their age. "Want me to go with you?" Himeko suggested. "Are you sure? I don't want to bother you." Tetsuji Suzu said with a concerned look on her face. "Nah, it's ok. Besides, I've got nothing to do." Then the two headed towards the nearby mall.
As usual, there's a lot of people even on a Monday. Christmas is only a few weeks away, so that would make a lot of sense. Oh, speaking of Christmas. "Hey Suzu-chan, are you buying a gift for someone?" Himeko asked. She giggled in response. "You figured it out." and gave me a small smile. "I was planning to give him something." As she said that, her face went slightly red. She turned her head away from Himeko's face and continued. "Maybe something useful and something to remember me by."
Himeko grinned at the young girl. "If you really know this guy, you shouldn't have problems with that." They discussed this until they were in the mall. Himeko let her mind wander off as she saw something seemingly familiar, something red.
"Hey! Earth to Hime-san!" Suzu-chan snapped her fingers at Himeko's face. "Ah, sorry Suzu-chan." "Are you okay, Hime-san?" "Yeah. I think." she replied still wondering what that was a while ago. The young girl gave her worried look. "Are you sure? I think you need to rest. I'm sure you were tired with all the work given to you by the headmistress."
Well, that part was true. Himeko's dream as a teacher faded away some time ago and decided to become a guidance counselor instead. She decided it would be better to help each student more personally than to teach kids how to speak english. So Himeko took a different course, psychology. It blended well with her and graduated in no time at all. She immediately applied in a school that had just started and still in progress. It was going well, except the mountains of paperwork laid out for her, so she's been quite stressed and ill tempered for a while.
"Nah I'm fine." she replied with a smile. "Let's try splitting up and find that gift for your guy." and Himeko winked at her before turning away. She was lucky that Suzu-chan also studies at the same school she applied at. Suzu-chan was very kind and responsible (unlike that lazy, old geezer of hers Himeko thought). Someone who reminded Himeko a bit of someone she loved before, but the past was in the past. It's time to move on.
She walked pass through the crowd, bumping one or two people. Her vision starts to get blurry. Ugh. I need to go home. she thought as she slurred across the crowd. The red thing kept teasing her urging Himeko to follow it. "S-sorry." she murmured to people cussing as she bumped them. The red thing was floating away. She felt someone grab her shoulders. "Hey miss, are you alright?" a strange male voice asked. "N-no." she said as the red thing starts to disappear further.
The weather was starting to get colder. As she looked up the sky snow was falling to her face. The sky starts to darken, then her vision turned black.

As Himeko tried to open her eyelids she was overwhelmed by the very bright light that shone. Oh God, is this heaven? she thought. As her eyes adjusted, the sight was being less holy and realized that she somehow ended up in a room filled with white. Nope definitely not heaven. she decided, and looked around and kept seeing white. It's the purgatory. and then she started to panic, her breaths pacing faster. She recalled what happened before, the snow, Suzu-chan, the mall. The previous events started coming back to her now. Now I feel like an idiot. she thought, regretting she thought of being dead at all. Himeko's head began to feel heavy and a bit dizzy. She tried to move her head but can't seem to carry it.
"Ah miss, you're awake." said a woman in her 40's. Her face is plumped and her black hair was tucked in a neat bun. Her dress seems to camouflage with the room. Judging her outfit, she seems to be a nurse here. "How are you feeling?" she asked. "Fine I guess." Himeko replied. "Where am I?"
"You're in the clinic in the mall, miss." she said calmly. "A guy found you not far from here. He said you fainted. It seems you have a fever." It now made sense to her why she felt heaviness at her head and felt cold when she woke up. God, I'm a moron. She thought, once again regretting that thought ever popped up in her mind.
She looked at the woman. "Sorry for giving trouble, Miss-" "Atsuko" she interrupted. She walked closer to the bed where Himeko was lying. "Here, drink this. I'll help you up." "Thank you, Atsuko-san."
She took the glass of water and the pill from her and settled down. Her energy and health seem to come back to her immediately. What was in this pill? she thought amazingly yet curiously at the drug. She then stood up with her health bar at 100%.
"Atsuko-san what are you doing?" Himeko said as she roamed her hand around finding for a weapon that could get her out of here. She was standing suspiciously at the door with a straight face and a stiff body, clearly . She chuckled "Himeko are you really this naive?" "How do you know my name? Who are you?" I shouted.
"I'm Atsuka-san." She then jumped, ready to blow a punch on Himeko's face but she was too slow. I quickly grabbed a bat on top of a desk. Wait, a bat? Why the hell would there be a bat? I then smacked her at the face. Then her head blew off from her body. "Kyaaaaaaaaa!!! W-what is going oon!!!" Himeko screamed. Oh no no no I killed a person! She thought as she nervously paced around the room.
Then laughter errupted inside the closet near the bed. As soon as the sound reached her ears, she concludes that this had been a prank from some stupid idiot. Himeko then grabbed the bat, as she opens the closet, ready to beat the light out of thr ass that thiught of this shit. When she then laid her eyes on on the bastard, not only did she get pissed off but she was delighted to beat the crap out of this bastard. She yelled.
"GET OUT OF THE FUCKING CLOSET SWITCH!!! OR I WILL BEAT YOU TO A PULP!!!
