Why is the silence so deafening?
Is there anyone out there?
Am I talking to myself?
My heart feels like giving up,
From trying to find someone else
Who doesn't judge me,
Likes me just the way I am.
I know I'm not perfect,
Not someone who
Has perfect grades and
A beautiful smile.
But I know what I can guarantee
Is a loyal friendship
And everlasting love.
I feel like I'm stranded
On an island.
I feel like I'm just drifting
With no one here to help.
I feel so ugly,
Like a monster.
People ignore me or walk away from me
Like I don't even exist.
If you can here this stranded astronaut
Who's seeking companionship
Who's alone and forgotten,
Please help me out
But I beg you not to leave
Like how everyone else did.
