Suitor

Liam's P.O.V

I was walking around making my rounds when I saw October.

She was sitting on the floor in a dress. I didn't know that she and Jed were back yet.

I saw her head on her knees and her shoulders were shaking.

She was crying?

"Miss October?" I called she jumped and stood. She quickly wiped her eyes and cleared her throat before looking at me.

She forced a smile on her face.

"Liam. Can I help you?" She asked. She  was putting up a strong face for me. "I should be asking you the same. Why were you crying?" I asked. She looked like she was going to argue so I gave her a look, making her sigh.

"I just heard my father on the phone...He's sending a man to come meet me... A suitor. To sell me to." She said.

I found that my heart hurt hearing that.

"Jed found me a dress and now I'm just to wait for him to arrive. We are meeting him for dinner tonight. " She said, with a sigh.

"What if... what if he decides to keep me.... I don't want a loveless marriage..." she said sadly.

"He could be some old guy who is looking for some sugar mama." She shudders in disgust.  She sighed again. "I better go fix my make up." She said. Before I could get anything out to comfort her she left.

I sighed and was called away before I could go after her.

I saw a man with Richard.

He wasn't old or ugly.

"Ah Liam. This is Zane. Zane is the son of a very good friend of mine. Infact he's Octobers old childhood friend. Be a good chap and get him a room on our floor." Richard said. I bit my tounge and nodded going to do what I was told.

Jealousy bubbling in me.

I walked them to the room and they all went inside.

"Go get October and bring her here." He ordered. I nodded before leaving. I then went searching for the woman who has been haunting my dreams and waking mind since she arrived here.

When I found her she had fixed herself up and was even more beautiful in that pink dress of hers.

I sadly lead her to the room in silence and when we arrived I hugged her.

"You will be fine darling." I whispered in her ear kissing her cheek. Unable to stop myself. She looked at me blushing that cute pink blush.

I gave her a small smile and knocked on the door, before using my key to get inside.

 I heard October gasp slightly as she saw who the man was who was with her father.

I saw the men were on the balcony smoking. October was told to come to them and she obeyed.

I noticed this Zane openly check her out and I didn't like the look of desire in his eyes that I could see behind his horn rimmed glasses.

"October. It has been such a long time. Seven years right?" Zane asked, holding out a hand for her to take. She took his hand and he pulled her to him and twirled her around to look her over.

"You grew up so beautifully." He whispered. "You.. You grew up well to Zane.." I could tell she just wanted to leave. She seemed scared and nervous. 

I'm sure she can see his eyes that where darkened with lust for her.

"Shall we begin Richard?" Zane asked, grinning at her father, who nodded. "October lets get inside and give this young man a preview."

I was so confused. A preview?

Zane walked her back inside after outing his bud in the ash tray.

He sat on the couch and motioned her to continue.

She looked at me with sad and begging eyes.

Begging me to help her.

She took a shaky breath before reaching behind her and unzipped her dress. My eyes widened as it came to me what he ment by Preview.

She closed her eyes as she slid the dress off her. And tenced as she stood there before everyone in her undergarments. Her face was red with embarrassment.

Zane stood and walked around her. "Open your eyes Tober." He said and she did. Her eyes went to mine.

'Keep your eyes on me.' I mouthed to her. She nodded and her blush dissapered and she went emoitionless.

Shes blocked herself away in her mind.

Zane walked up to her and inspected her. Touching her. Circling her like a predator.

She was certainly beautiful. Lovely pale skin that had freckles on it.

I couldn't help but feel desire stir in me at just looking at her. I gulped and shifted a bit from where I stood.

"Ok doll. You can put your dress on you. You can sadly cover yourself for now." Zane said, and she rushed to put her dress on.

He pulled her close and wrapped an arm around her waist possessively.

"Shall we eat?" He asked. Richard nodded and they left.

They went to a fancy restaurant and October was forced to be around that Zane the rest of the night.

I'll comfort her when I can get her alone.
