Morgan's P.O.V
"MORGAN, wake up!" Mama yells. I yawn and sit up. I look at the clock on my dresser. Shoot! Its already 7, Mama is going to kill me. I hop up and get dressed. I run past Mama, grabbing a cold biscuit. When I get to the orange grove I slow down. I keep walking for a bit. All of a sudden I here rustling in the tree on my left. I circle to the bacjmk of the tree. Much to my surprise there is a sleeping person. Must be another druggie or alcoholic.

"Excuse me?" I say.

"What do you want?" The sleeping man grumbles in return. No need to be so rude.

"Can you get out of my tree?" I say hesitantly. "Please?" He looks around at his surrondings with wide eyes. He hops down from the tree. I stick out my hand.

"Hi. I'm Morgan and you are?" I ask. He grabs my hand roughly and shakes it.

"Hey. I'm..."- he pauses- "Wes. Sorry about your tree. I guess I was a little out of it."

I giggle and tell him its fine. "Welcome to the best orange grove in Georgia!" I say proudly.

"Is there a place to get a bite to eat 'round here?" He asks.

"I know just the place." I reply . I motion him to follow me. We start walking out of the grove.

"Carry me daddy!"a seven-year-old me says. My dad chuckles and puts me on his shoulders. We walk down the familiar path down the street that leads to Donna's Diner. He takes me off his shoulder and holds me on his hip.
"Baby girl, you know I love you, right?" He asks me. I hug him and say of course. He left 2 years later. Moved to California with his new girl friend. He still talks to me but not enough. I was the only girl at the 8th grade Father -Daughter dance without a dad. He even missed my older brother's furenal. Carson died in a crash when he was 18. I was so upset. I take a deep breath as I walk down the familiar path. I sniff and me and Wes walk together in silence. The way it should be.
