For a month, Mr. Lee patiently taught Kris.

Kris was smart, he was a fast learner.

Mr. Lee didn't expect this. He expected more than a month to teach Kris everything.

*matalino e, xD *

Mr. Lee was sitting on the table, eating his breakfast, when Kris appeared.

"Mr. Lee," Kris said while he was putting on his shirt. "What is this square shape on my left chest?"

"come here and eat your breakfast"

Kris obeyed after putting on his shirt.

He poured chocolate syrup on his brown colored pancakes. He held the knife and fork.

"Chocolate Pancakes again," Kris thought to himself.

He took a huge bite and frowned a little.

Mr. Lee cooked the pancakes.

Unlike science and all those academic stuff,

He was no good in household chores.

Since his parents died when he was young, he lived alone. Maybe with a few house helpers.

Mr. Lee was a well-known scientist.

But after all that fame and money, he chose to lock himself in this huge house and develop a human being.

Thus, Kris  was made.

After breakfast, they proceeded with their daily routine. Mr. Lee will teach Kris  necessary things. Like how people live.

And after lunch, Mr. Lee would stay in his laboratory. Kris  often followed him there.

While Mr. Lee mixed chemicals and stuffs like that, Kris  would stare at the huge periodic table. Or scan through his creator's books and look at the pictures. Once he sees something interesting, he will run to Mr. Lee and ask him about that thing.

Although Kris  was good at picking things,

He was easily distracted by simple things to real human beings.

As Kris learned more from Mr. Lee, he grew more curious on the spot on his chest.

He frequently asked Mr. Lee about it.

Everytime, Mr. Lee would just change the topic.

But this time, upon reading a random book on Mr. Lee's lab, Kris  tried to figure it out.

Holding the big book, he approached Mr. Lee who is reading a book too.

"Mr. Lee, this is the human heart." Kris  pointed the human heart drawn on the book.

" This book says it's located here." Then he pointed his left chest, where the spot is. "May I feel your chest Mr. Lee? Because it says that there should be a lub dub lub dub. But my chest has no lub dub at all."

Mr. Lee was dumbfounded.

"I thought maybe I don't have a heart. But the book says it's impossible for a human being to live without a heart." Kris continued.

Mr. Lee sighed, Kris  was really smart.

"Kris ," he can't begin to answer Kris  question.

How will he tell Kris  that he doesn't have a heart?

He was sure Kris  will ask him a lot of things after knowing he doesn't have a heart.

He was still thinking when he felt a warm hand on his left chest. "Oh! Lub dub lub dub!" Kris  exclaimed.

Then he tried to feel his own chest, but there was no lub dub.

"Mr. Lee, don't I have a heart?"

Mr. Lee nodded. "I'm still developing your heart."

"But why am I living if I don't have a heart?"

"I-I, Kris . You are made of chemicals. And what makes you function right know are chemicals, I made."

"So it is possible to live without a heart!" Kris  said.

Mr. Lee didn't know how to respond to that.

He was expecting that Kris  would be hurt, but his old age made him forget that Kris  can't feel any emotions.

Kris , being a curious kid, likes to wander around the huge house. One time, when Mr. Lee was busy inside his lab, Kris  accidentally entered a room he has never entered before. He saw a window, outside it was snow falling. He tried to open the window.

He was only curious of what a snow flake is.

He tried hard to open it, but he only stumbled after trying.

Then, when he stood up to look outside.

A crowd of people gathered.

Some are holding their huge cameras with eye-blinding flashes.

Kris was confused again so he ran to Mr. Lee's lab.

"What are does human being doing there?? And why are they holding cameras? Cameras are used for taking photographs, right? And photographs are taken for memories.." Kris said.

"Human beings? Cameras?"

Kris nod. "Did you go to the maid's quarters?"

"Ah, so it was the maid's quarter's." Kris thought.

"Kris, don't use 'human being' use 'people', okay?"

"People." Kris repeated.
