Depart This Useless Life, Is The Moon Waning Tonight?

It was eleven thirty-six pm on one spring evening. Y/n had just finished checking over her packed stuff: She had three duffel bags, a suitcase and backpack. She had everything she needed and got her shoes on. Tonight, she was leaving the life she grew up having.
Things were alright when she was little, but then began to get complicated as she got older. By the time she was fifteen years old, she saw the kind of person her mother truly was. She already knew what her dad was like, yet she always thought her mother was the better parent. But no. She was very short-tempered and unreasonable. Despite being very bright and multi-talented, her parents would doubt whatever she said whether it be about school or her friends, anything. What made things harder in life was her autistic younger brother/sister. Unfortunately, he/she couldn't understand the world or people the same way kids his/her age did: He/She didn't even talk like everyone else. Dealing with him/her, having to babysit him/her was utterly frustrating. Even as a teenager, he/she was frightening to handle. He'd/She'd leave the house through the front door in the middle of the night and go into other people's houses, stealing their food or breaking their stuff for no reason. He'd/She'd tear pages out of books, which is why y/n eventually had to lock up all her books in a box at an abandoned building she often hung out in. He'd/she'd throw food out the window and into the yard or people's yards. Lastly, he/she would do nothing but say the same thing over and over again for five minutes until he/she decided to go and look for something to screw around with. Of course, she didn't have to deal with that any longer. One day, while the bus was driving to her brother/sister's school, it crashed in a traffic collision on a highway: Many people were severely injured and only ten were killed. Her brother/sister was one of the ten victims to perish along with two other disabled teens and the driver. Y/n's parents were so shocked when the police officer came to their door and told them the news. Her mother started to break down and cry so hard while her dad knelt beside her and held her close. Y/n felt bad for them, really bad. But then again, he/she had no future anyways. She didn't say anything to them, not wanting to offend them. After her brother/sister's death, her mother was worst than usual. While y/n tried to get assignments complete or make plans with her friends, she'd give her hell for even being here or that she was ungrateful of everything that was ever given to her. Y/n knew that wasn't true and it was her mother's anger talking. One time, when her mother was having one of her episodes, she grabbed her things and went to her f/n house to stay over for a while. Unfortunately, she wouldn't let her stay because she had some things to do around the house and help her mom. Y/n knew that was a lie as her heard her friends in the background talking and laughing. She was betrayed and ended up living in an abandoned building she hung out in; The one where she kept her books in.
It has been seven months since y/n graduated from high school. She was actually fifteen. How so? She was a prodigy in the high school she attended. Despite being weird in everyone else's eyes, she was a straight-A student and multi-talented. She won first place in track and gymnastics, she passed all her exams and quizzes and earned an Honorary Golden Award for Prodigious Excellence. She wasn't popular like the jocks and snobs that attended the school. In fact, she hated high school. But she knew if she dropped out, she would have no future to live for. She worked hard, stayed up all night studying what the teachers taught the classes and made spare time to do her personal projects. She had a few friends, but they've parted ways with her. One guy she was friends with moved out of town to attend a college in another city, one girl she was friends with had to attend a university and became very busy with working and studying and one girl she was friends with ditched her because she didn't have time for "weirdos" like her. This left an emptiness in her heart, but it didn't stop her from succeeding in life. During her years in high school, she did some research on top best cities to live in that were affordable and amazing. She wanted to live somewhere down south. She saw so many sights such as Albuquerque, Charleston, Charlottesville, San Antonio, even Myrtle Beach looked nice. If only things were good enough after early graduation.
Y/n sighed as she took one last look at her room. Plain with white princess furniture, which never got replaced with more modern furniture, and plain tan sandy walls with no picture framed in sight. Y/n unlocked the latch very slowly and carefully, not to make a single sound. Then she turned the screw and opened the window wide enough for her to get her stuff and herself outside. It wasn't that difficult because her room was in the basement and the window she was exiting through was enormous. She grabbed one of her duffel bags and pushed it out the window, then she grabbed another duffel bag and did the same thing. She repeated the pattern until all her stuff was outside. Finally, y/n hoisted herself out the window and closed it behind her so it'd look as though she didn't exit through there. She grabbed her stuff and started walking up the driveway and up the street. It didn't take long for y/n to get to the street across from hers. She went to the light post and looked out at the distance. Wooden light posts and electricity lines traveled a longways. Y/n took a deep breath and exhaled. Alright, you can do this. You've been planning this for a long time now. There's no turning back once you've started walking. You will not return to that old life. You will keep walking. You will reach out to that horizon in the distance and keep walking until you've reached your destination. Wherever it is you end up, you'll make the most of it. Y/n started walking forward to the faint dusk-lit horizon up ahead and didn't stop for anything. As she did, the moon, full and luminous, glowed brightly.

Idk why I deleted this the first time but tell me this; If Stein liked more than one girl out there, would he have two girls in his life or just one? An equally talented meister like himself and a mouse/rat with spiritual powers, or a light that revolves around lightning yet soothes. It sounds complicated, I know, but he is a screwhead. 🙄😣😖
