The Scout Regiment was preparing for yet another expedition beyond the wall, a month from now. The commander, Erwin Smith, held a meeting to discuss the layout of the plan for this expedition to guarantee the highest success rate and a safe return. Armin, Hanji and yourself stood around a dark brown, wooden table, a map in the middle. The blonde's eyes focused on the task at hand, his brain bustling for a fruitful strategy. You glanced up at him, a small smile on your lips.

"Titans are less active at night, right? As crazy as this sounds, I suggest, we begin the expedition at dusk." Armin suggested, doubting himself

"If Eren is to harden his skin, we won't need the carts, therefore, we can make it before dawn. Torches don't give much light, however, that shouldn't be much of a problem. We can still make by dawn even at a slower pace" You said, confidently

"Consider the possibility that Eren can't do as such. We need another approach to seal the breach"

"You have a point, be that as it may, it's a bet we need to take. There aren't any rocks sufficiently enormous to seal the gap."

"What happens, if somehow Reiner and the others survived? What's more, somehow figured out how to get to Shiganshina and present a threat"

"Do you believe they could of? " Armin asked you, slightly worried

"He's the Armored Titan, if our blades couldn't cut through his hardened skin, I doubt those Titans could."

"If that time comes we'll have to eliminate them," Commander Erwin said, his eyes narrowed.

Your eyes fell to the map, as your mind wandered back to the times all of you had spent together, sharing laughs and tears. You began to wonder if it meant anything to them, or if it was simply an act. Your [E/C] filled with mixed emotions. Armin, who was standing next to you, gently put his hand on your shoulder. You looked up at him. He looked into your [E/C] giving you a reassuring smile.

"Eren is to use his ability to harden his skin to repair the wall. We leave a month from now."

You sat on your horse in front of the gate in Krolva District. You took a deep breath and wait for the expedition to commence. A cool breeze flowed through your [H/L] [H/C] hair. A sigh escaped your parched lips, a sheet of darkness surrounding you, the moon and stars shining brightly.

"[Y/N], are you alright? You look a little pale" Armin asked, peering at your face with concern

"I'm scared the plan won't work" You confessed nervously

"Don't be, you and Armin can think of a strategy in any scenarios." Eren encouraged, giving you a cheeky smile

"You're a damn good strategist, [Y/N], have some more faith in yourself, " Jean said, from in front, slightly looking over his shoulder at you

"Thanks, guys" You mumbled shyly

"We are now commencing the 75th expedition beyond the wall!" Commander Erwin shouted with pride

"The gate is opening! " A Garrison soldier shouted as they slowly began to open the gate into the dark abyss of wall Maria

Once the gate opened, you all slowly filled out into the night. You held on tightly to the reign gently galloping, your torch giving off little light. Your eyes wandered around, looking for any signs of titans. None in sight. You sighed in slight relief, but you couldn't help but feel something was amiss.

"Armin, isn't it weird that we haven't come across a single titan yet" You whispered to the blonde next to you.

"I was wondering the same thing. Some titans can still be active slightly longer than others, but, we haven't even spotted a dormant one"
