"What is wrong with everyone?! Everybody's coming back to life!" You shouted, a picture that was hanging on the wall suddenly flying across the room. Delilah remained stable.
"He was last spotted on the outskirts of the kingdom, we don't know how long he's been there or for what reason. All we know is that we need to eliminate his threat immediately." You nodded, pacing back and forth in your office. What to do... What to do...
"Send in some scouts. I want to know what he's doing there and why," You ordered, and Delilah dashed out the door, your orders already being shouted across the castle.
Your head was swimming. So many questions had popped into your head and your life was turning upside down. Your son was alive, Crowley was alive, and on top of that, Castiel is obviously hiding something. You spotted whiskey sitting on a table nearby and half-grinned, reaching for a glass.
You sat down in a chair covered in velvet, the glass still in hand. There was a fireplace and you lit it with a flick of your hand, watching the flames ignite and swallow the wood entirely.
It wasn't a full minute before Delilah rushed back into your office, looking with and eyes wide and hair standing on edge. You raised an eyebrow, wondering what could have happened in the short time she was gone.
"What happened?" You asked. Delilah averted her eyes.
"The scouts are dead... We sent them immediately and Crowley's people jumped them. There wasn't much left to recover," She reported. You sighed exasperatedly, gulping down the remainder of your whiskey before standing up.
"How is that even possible?! I gave those orders forty seconds ago! What the hell..." Your voice trailed off and you paced around your office, trying to formulate another plan. Suddenly, an idea popped into your head. You have Delilah a sly grin and she gave a hesitant one in return.
"What is it, your majesty?" She asked, you could tell she was anxious to hear your plan.
"How about 'I' go?" You suggested, your grin widening. Delilah furrowed her eyebrows.
"But your highness, you could die!" She exclaimed, clearly not getting the point you were trying to convey. You rolled your eyes.
"No, 'I'll' go," You repeated, this time making air quotes with your fingers around the 'I'll'. She seemed to get it this time and brightened up, nodding and already heading out the door to prepare for the plan. "Honestly, they can be just like angels sometimes..." You said to yourself, forcing a smile off your lips when you thought of Castiel.
You wondered what he and Duriel were doing right now. There was no doubt that you didn't miss Duriel, and while you thought you didn't miss Castiel, there was something in you that said otherwise.
Delilah came rushing into your office once more, and you nearly cried. What could possibly have gone wrong this time?
"You're majesty, Crowley demanded that he speak to you directly or all of hell will regret it. I'm not sure if his threat was empty or not but-"
"Shhhhhh..." You shushed Delilah's rambling, taking a deep breath. "I'll go. Don't worry. I doubt he wants to kill me," You said, snapping your fingers and changing into a more suitable outfit for this.
"But-"
"No buts. Don't send anyone after me, but have them at the ready," You ordered, and Delilah bowed her head in understanding. You sighed and snapped your fingers, arriving at the outskirts of your castle. The screams of the damned were much louder here, and you cringed for just a second.
A voice spoke up from behind you. Crowley's voice. "Hello darling. Nice to finally speak to you," He said, a hint of sarcasm hiding in his voice. You rolled your eyes and turned to face him.
"What do you want Crowley?" You asked harshly, not ready to put up with any of him. "I thought you were dead," You added. Crowley smirked.
"First, I want my crown back," He demanded. You snorted.
"No way. What else?"
"Fine then. I don't have to tell you how I or your son survived. Have a hellish day!" He exclaimed, turning around. You bit your lip, knowing that you shouldn't trust him. But he was the only one who was be willing to give you any answers. Granted the price was your crown, but still...
"Wait!" You called out.
