Rachel and Adam had spent hours trying to figure out what they had to do. John was still out cold. Nothing they did woke him up. He even bled out of a wound not even his.

“Alex is hurt, isn’t she?” Adam asked as he placed the books back in their place.

“She’ll be okay. She is a very strong girl.” Rachel said as she smiled at Adam.

“She is in trouble. I just… I just don’t know what to do to help!”

“What you’re doing is more than enough! Alex will be fine and she’ll be back in no time.”

“Yeah to his arms.” Adam said that as he looked at John.

“They are meant to be Adam. No matter what happens; these two could never be apart.”

Adam didn’t say anything. He kept staring at John. He didn’t even hear what Rachel had told him.

“He’s glowing…” Adam said as he walked his way.

Rachel followed him shocked. John was glowing a white orbit. Something didn’t feel right. As the two came up close the door behind them shut.

“Don’t touch him!” A guy yelled as he made his way into the room.

“What does that pyramid have to do with anything?” Luke asked as he eyed the angel. “And who the fuck are you?”

“I am Mervana.” Her soft voice said. “And that pyramid has to do with everything.”

“The pyramid shows a snake descending once a year or something like that, right?” Luke said a bit impatient.

“It has been designed so that every year, on Spring Equinox, the afternoon sun causes a shadow play so that it appears that a huge serpent is descending from the sky, down the pyramid.” Aniokh said as he scratched his head. “That pyramid provided The Attpads with safety.”

“Not just the Attpads I’m afraid. The black orbit as well used its power to hide. Then again; the orbit has nothing to do with what is happening right now.” Mervana said as she walked Cassie’s way.

Sam was still in complete and utter shock. Standing next to Jensen not saying a word; afraid of what might happen. Mervana hadn’t noticed him yet. Luke and Aniokh blocked his image. As she stood ahead of him; he held his breath. He couldn’t manage to say a word. Luke and Aniokh looked at him confused.

Mervana’s white, sleeveless, short dress; left a trail of a white light behind it. Once she reached Cassie, she placed her hand on her head and closed her eyes.

“Alex can feel her daughter’s pain. Only she can save her.” Mervana said as she opened her eyes.

“Alex is not herself at the moment.” Luke said in a whisper. “She might have gone mad. Anyways, how is the pyramid related to any of this?”

“Remember what Alex had to do to open the portal?” Mervana asked eyeing both men ahead of her. “She had to destroy the pyramid. What she didn’t know was that it as the home of that serpent. After the pyramid got destroyed, the snake found its way to a new home.”

“Let me guess; Alex’s dark powers?” Luke said as he crossed his arms on his chest.

“Yes; it was lured by it. That serpent is attracted to dark witchcraft. Alex is the perfect host for such a snake. It can’t be left in her body though, it needs to come out every once in a while. When Alex used her powers against Jensen a couple of days ago; it had awoken the snake. It found its way out of Alex and into Jensen. The new host didn’t help though.” Mervana said that as she sat down next to Cassie.
