I was going to write you a poem tonight,
But something about you caught my eye sight,
It was your eyes,
They shined like a bright light,
Reminded of a particular night,
A particular night where we both agreed to put up a brave fight,
To become the strongest unit with all our might,
Yes we did things to get on each other nerves out spite,
From the pettiest arguments to simple mistakes,
We never broke down and gave up,
We had a minor earthquake,
Because we new that one day,
That the child's play would become foreplay,
That I would you close in my arms as the night sky engulfed our love,
That my embrace was tighter than any glove,
The enemy gave us a mighty shove and tried to break us apart,
But one heart plus another a made a stronger heart,
We came to far in the adventure of ours,
I couldn't afford a bouquet of flowers,
But you said that was okay,
Because you knew my love was genuine and unconditional,
That I wasn't out to hurt you intentional,
But to love you with you with a strong embrace and to take us to a better place.
