Uncertain

Tobin laid the note on Alex's pillow and went out for a walk with her soccer ball. Alex walks back to the room after a swim only to find it empty with a note from Tobin on her pillow.

Alex's POV.
Awe Tobs left me a note, "Dear Alex,
I know you said things were good with you and Serv, but you're my best friend and I know when something is up with you. So I'll lay it out in this note, Alex I love you, you're more than a best friend, more than a sister, Alex I love you and want you to be my girl friend but you're with Serv and I can't make you chose between the two of us, so if you have any of the same feelings towards me as I do for you, than I'll be the moon. "I don't wanna be a liar; I don't wanna be a fool, I don't wanna be a secret, but I will be if you want me to; you can leave me in the dark if that's all I get from you; he can be the sun, I'll be the moon."

This is the sweetest note I've ever received, I didn't know Tobin really felt this way. Well I have about an hour until she gets back from her walk, so I think I'll go down the hall and talk to Ash about this.

Alex went down to Ashlyn's room for some advice.

(Knocks and waits patiently until Ash opens up)
"Hey Ash, can we talk?"
"Yea, sure, what's up?"
"Well, basically, Tobin left me this note telling me she loved me, but that she couldn't make me chose between her and Serv.."
"Alex that alone proves that she loves you, I mean we all know Tobin is crazy in love with you, she just wants you to be happy and if Serv makes you happy then she's willing to watch you with him.. Look Alex if you aren't happy with him you need to let him go.. Tobin isn't going to tell you this, so I will, Tobin loves you so much she basically follows you around like a lost puppy dog, it kills her to see you with him because (as we all know) you and Tobin belong together."
"If we belong together, why won't she just tell me that it hurts to see me with Serv?"
"She won't tell you because when you love someone the way Tobin loves you, you'll do anything to see that person happy, no matter the expense."
"So what should I do?"
"You need to think about what you want and let both Tobin and Serv know."
"That's the problem Ash, I'm not sure what I want."
"Okay, well I know people like to have fun with others, but that's not the only thing to relationships, so let's take some of the boring stuff for example, who do you talk with more about your feelings?"
"...Well that would be Tobin."
"Who do you spend most of your time with? For both work and fun."
"Um.. Again Tobin."
"And when you catch yourself smiling from ear to ear like a fool, who is there with you?"
"..Tobin."
"Who was there when you injured your knee?"
"Well Tobin"
"I just asked you four questions and you answered "Tobin" to all of them."
"I get that, but, Ash.. I'm scared."
"What do you have to be afraid of?"
"Well what if I end things with Serv and things don't turn out with Tobin? I don't want to sound selfish, but I don't want to lose both of them either.?
"By the looks of things you won't lose Tobin, at least not as a friend, but if you don't do something (and soon) then you might lose every chance there ever was with Tobin."
"Thanks Ash, this talk has really helped, I think I know who to chose. Well Tobin will be back any minute so I guess I'll head back to the room now. Love you Ash."
"Love you to Alex, now go get your girl."
