"Stop!" She yelled as she ran in front of the car.
"Holy-" Ryder said pressing hard on his brakes and swerving to the far right so he wouldn't go off the mountainside.
He could remember that day so clearly because It was raining and there was a smell of pine trees. He loved to drive in the mountains, but more so because he could race with other cars. He honestly hadn't realized how fast he was going until he had to brake.
"Are you okay?!" He asked as he got out and tried to talk over the loud pattering rain.
"I need a ride!" She said loudly.
"Where to?" He asked looking up as thunder rumbled from not too far.
"I just need you to drive." She said, worried as she saw cars pass by.
She needed to get out of there. Now.
"I was on my way to my cabin..." He said hesitantly. He didn't know who she was and might not want to know.
"That's great, let's go there now." She said walking over to his car and hopping into the front seat.
His black shiny convertible was muddy from the weather and Elle couldn't help but wonder what this guys deal was. I mean, what was a rich looking man like him doing living in a cabin? He seemed to be in his mid twenties and pretty well off by the looks of his car and expensive watch on his wrist.
"My name's Ryder by the way." He said while quickly turning on the heater.
"I'm Brielle, but you can can call me Elle." she said shaking from how cold the rain had made her clothes.
Elle loved the rain since she was little. She loved staying in and reading a book while drinking a cup of tea. She loved building forts with her two year-old niece who was a happy ball of energy.
How had she gotten here? This wasn't like her. Memories of the gun and him trying to put his hands on her flashed through her mind. A shiver ran down her spine as she remembered all the blood. She hadn't meant to kill him.
