LUCY

I woke up in the same old spot where I slept. On a bed covered with flowers that was suprising comfortable though it may not seem like it.

I stretched my arms and yawned. "Good morning, world!" I cheerfullly greeted the day.

Immediately I slashed the curtains away and opened the windows with joy.

The view was as astoninishing as ever. Flowers were blooming everywhere, and their scent was to die for. I could also see everyone already working and starting off the day.

And here I am, still staring out the window like an idiot.

Sigh.

"Welp, time to start the morning!"

I threw on a dress that looked decent enough for a morning stroll. After I made sure every strand if hair was in place, and that the wrinkles on my eyes were gone.

Perfect, I thought to myself.

I headed straight for the park since that is where I've always went for morning strolls. Although lately, I have been busy with work that there wasn't even a second I could spend for myself.

I spotted the old tree in the middle of a small hill. I smiled and sat down below the warm shade of the tree. Children were playing around yet it still was really peaceful.

I love this.

I enjoyed the quiet time for a while, then I remembered I brought the book I've borrowed from our local library.

I took it out the small yet compatible bag I carried along.

The Tale Of the Cursed Love.

It was an intesresting story. It revolved around a man who was cursed by the gods because of his actions, and a girl who believes that fate brought them together.

The man was unable to speak, a single word from him could kill creatures that were around him.

He hated it. He wished he could die. But that was a part of his curse. Immortality that he did not request for.

Yet when he and the girl met, a connection formed between them. The man knew it was wrong but, he couldn't fight it.

They loved it each other. But it was forbidden.

The story makes me wonder- what would I have done if I were that girl?

Would I fight for the one I love although I know it's wrong?

Or would I give up and live the rest of my life unhappy instead?

I don't really know.

Well, it's not like I'm ever going to fall in love anyway.

I slowly closed the book. Strangely, I find myself spacing out.

Will I ever really find love?

WAIT- WHAT THE HECK AM I SAYING?!?!

Enough of this, I'm heading back.

I was walking back home slowly, I knew exactly where I was heading but my mind seemed to have been in a different world.

Love, huh...

I clenched the book closer to my chest.

It's not like I don't want to, but...

"DING-DONG. DING-DONG."

That was our kingdom's bell. Everyone stopped whatever it is that they were doing just to glance at the castle.
