"Okay." He said, voice being raised up by a couple decibels. "You can be my friend."
The bell had rung and everyone began packing up.
Standing up, I held out my hand to him.
"Let's sit together, then." He eyed my hand, slowly lifting his head to face me.
"W-what?" I chuckled a bit, now grabbing his hand in my own. His hands were soft and big, but it fit perfectly in mine.
"Come sit with my friends and I at lunch." His cheeks turned red, looking at our intertwined hands.
"U-um," He tried to pull away, but I only gripped on tighter. Sighing, he said, "Okay."
"Cool." I turned around to see the silver haired man almost out the door. "Yoongi!" He halted, turning back to face me. With my free hand, I waved him over to me.
"What's up?" He said nonchalantly, looking at me instead of the other in front.
"I'd like you to meet my new friend," I turned my head to face him. "Park Jimin."
"It's nice to meet you." Yoongi bowed. Jimin nodded before bowing himself.
"I invited him to sit with us." Yoongi's eyes were still glued on Jimin, but he had a blank expression. "Is that okay?" Yoongi nodded.
"That's perfectly fine." He answered. "I don't mind at all."
"Awesome!" Looking back at Jimin, I tugged on his arm. "Let's go then."
------------
The boys stared up at me with their eyes opened wide. The spoon that hung from Jin's mouth fell out of his hand and bounced on the table, creating a loud clinging sound. Hoseok let out a nervous cough as Jungkook scoffed in amusement.
Jimin kept his head hung down, staring at the floor. I gently slid my hand in his and lightly rubbed circles on the back of it, making him lift his head and face me. Giving him a reassuring smile, he looked back down at the floor and let out a small sigh.
I turned my head to face the others as my smile widened.
"I'd like you to meet our new friend," Jimin lifted his head once again, but he looked at the six guys instead of looking back at me. The boys beamed at him. "He'll be sitting with us today, and hopefully from now on."
Hoseok was the first to comment. "Nice!" He quickly stood up and took Jimin's unoccupied hand, shaking it rather violently with the both of his. "It's good to finally meet and befriend you!" I smiled widely, slowly pulling my hand away from his.
Jimin said nothing as he gently snatched his hand away from Hoseok's. I formed a small, sad smile as I gently pushed him toward the table. Sitting down beside him, I rested my chin on my hand.
Hoseok frowned and sat at the opposite side of the table from where he originally sat in order to please Jungkook.
Looking around, I noticed that Ha Ni was nowhere to be seen. "Where did Ha Ni go?"
"She had to go and help a teacher today." Seokjin sighed as he picked up his spoon and played with the rice in his bowl. I chuckled a bit, noticing that he seemed a bit empty without her here.
Unexpectedly, Hoseok began to bang on the table. "Na Ri! Na Ri, Na Ri, Na Ri!!!" I let out a small chuckle.
"What is it?"
"You have to listen to the song Namjoon, Yoongi and I made!! It's amazing!!" My eyes widened.
"You guys make songs?" They nodded. I let out a small squeal. "Let's hear it then!"
"It's not entirely ready," Yoongi said. "We have lyrics and the beat, but we haven't recorded anything yet."
"I still want to hear it, though." I glanced at Namjoon to see him spaced out once again. It looked as if he were speaking to something, though there was nothing there. I just figured that maybe I was mistaken and brought my attention back to Yoongi.
Yoongi nodded. "I'll let you listen to it after school ends today."
Smiling, I turned to the boy next to me and gently placed my hand on his shoulder. "Do you want to come?"
Jimin looked at me confusingly and struggled to spill out his answer.
"I'll take that as a yes!" Moving my hand, I gently ruffled his hair as my eyes formed small smiles.
Jimin POV
It felt as though the world stopped and everything else disappeared; she looked so breathtaking. I could feel the warmth gently crawl up my face as I stared at her in admiration. 'Why did she have to be so pretty?'
I mentally shook my head. 'Stop. You're getting too much hope. Hope just ruins you.'
I gently slapped her hand away from my head. My eyes went empty as my expression turned cold.
"Don't touch me. Please." She instantly stopped smiling as I instantly felt that very familiar feeling in the pit of my stomach; utter regret. Gulping down the lump in my throat, I turned away from her. 'This is for the best. For the both of us, this is the right thing.'
"Oh," She cleared her throat before letting out an uncomfortable chuckle. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that." I glanced at her from the corner of my eye. She fiddled with her hands as she stared down at them while doing so.
Silence swept the table as they awkwardly stared at us.
After a few minutes, Na Ri lifted her head as a small smile was plastered on her face.
"Why don't you all introduce yourselves to Jimin?" She was so, very close to placing her hand on my shoulder again, but she quickly pulled back.
'Idiot.' I thought, referring to myself. 'Enjoy her company while it lasts since she'll be leaving you soon because of this.'
The other guys told me their names just before the bell rung.
Everyone in the lunchroom quickly took their things in hand before rushing to class. As people passed our table, I could faintly hear people comment about me, and it was nowhere near being polite.
I remember hearing one about Na Ri and the guys which made my blood boil.
Quickly standing up, I grabbed my things and sped out the room, running away from them all.
They don't deserve this. None of them do. I only bring bad luck. I can't be near them. At all. My only option is to run away.
I need to leave this place...
Forever.
