Difficult Choices

Prologue:

A beautiful woman of twenty-five stood at the end of a peer letting her fair skin soak up the warmth of the morning sun. Her long black hair flowed in the wind and her bright green eyes glowed in tje morning light. She had her hands on her round belly singing to her unborn child. In the distance of the forest she could hear the call of a deer and the flapping wings of a raven. The trees surrounding her stood still the leaves lapping in the breeze. She could smell the faint fragrance of the breakfast her husband was cooking.
Her mate called to her through their thoughts telling her breakfadt was ready. As she started walking home from the peer she felt a warm liquid run down her leg and from the two previous children she had given birth to, she knew it was time for the baby to come. Although he was a bit earlier than expected she was happy she could finally soon see the face of her baby boy.

"Chris, I think its time!! My water just broke!" She yelled to her husband.

Chris thought to himself that it wasnt yet time so he was worried. On top of being worried he was frantic. He searched the entire kitchen looking for his truck keys and was panting to himself. "Oh my god! The baby is coming! This isnt happeneing now!! He is two months early! Where are my keys?!?!" He yelled frantically.

Pria walked through the kitchen door holding her stomach having her first contraction. She looked at Chris with a flare in her eyes. She knew he was nervous but he had already been through this twice before so he shouldn't be as frantic as he is. "Your keys are right in front of you on the key rack! Hurry up please!! I dont think he is going to wait very long!"

Chris grabs his keys and picks his pregnant wife up bridal style and carries her to the truck. He drives to the pack house in a matter of fifteen minutes while Pria's contractions grow closer together. As they arrive the Alpha's wife runs out with three of her strongest soldiers to get Pria inside.

As soon as she is inside the pack's doctor observes her and tells one of the soldiers to take her up to the table, but before he can get his hands in her to pick her up, Chris intercepts and picks his wife up and is lead to the room they are needed to be in.

Pria looked at Chris with a terrified glint in her eyes. She was scared that her baby was dying and therefore lead to the early delivery. Chris knows what she is thinking and kisses her forehead to reassure her that the baby was going to be okay.

"Alright Pria, I am gonna need you to push as hard as you can. Can you do that for me?" The doctor says. Pria nods her head and holds her husbands hand for support. She pushes as hard as her body will let her and for as long as she can before she has to stop and breath. She does this five more times and then she hears the cries of a baby.

"Congratulations. Its a baby boy." The nurs says before stopping and handing the baby to the willing nurse tk clean the baby. "I am going to need you to push again for me okay. Turns out you were having twims!" The doctor says all too sprightly. Pria looks at the doctor like she is insane and feels her contractions worsen.

"I dont underst--" Pria is cut off by the suddon collapse of Chris and another contraction hit her. She yelped out in pain and pushed as hard as was physically possible for her. The doctor shoots a glare at the nurse to wake the now passed out Chris.

"Congratulations again. Its a beautiful baby girl." Pria lays back exhausted and sighs. How in the hell was she pregnant with twins? What happened to just having one kid growing inside if her.

"Your daughter is very small. Without a breather and feeder she may not survive the night. She was piggybacking your son and she is very malnourished." The doctor says plainly to Pria.

Pria tells the doctor to do whatever it is that is needed to keep her baby girl alive. She knew there was a reason for this and she wasnt going to give up on the small baby. Pria knew that there was something special about her beautiful baby girl.
