Unrecognized Notes

Chapter 3

I only realize what I've got myself into when I knock the door, could he be the one who left me that note?

I mean, I could ask him, but what if it wasn't him? He would probably think I was crazy. Just as I was lost in my thoughts the door opens widely.

"Thank you so much for coming" Theo says and signals me to come in through the door.

I smile politely and enter the house, we lived in a wealthy neighborhood so it wasn't a surprise when I saw how lovely the house was from the inside, Theo led me to the dining table, books were everywhere and on top of the expensive-looking table, a huge glass chandelier was hung up from the ceiling.

"Would you like me to get you anything to drink?" He asks when I put my bag down

"Just water"

He walks away and comes back shortly after with a glass of water, and Pepsi.

"Thank you" I say when he gives me the glass of water

"So what have you done so far?" I pull my laptop out of my bag so I could read him my essay, that way he wouldn't have to read the whole book.

"Like I said, nothing" He opens up his laptop and turns it around to show me, he had WORD open and just like he said, nothing was written.

"It's just like, I mean who really cares about the Victorian age?"

'This is going to take alot time than I thought' I told myself

•3 hours later•

It turns out, Theo was smarter than I thought, I was on my phone while he was aggressively typing his essay into his laptop

"IM DONE HOLY SHIT IM DONE" He started screaming

"Theo could you please shut the fuck up?" A familiar voice said, I looked to my left and saw Amber, Theo's younger sister, walking into the dining room. I could always hear her phone calls with her friends which lasted for hours from my bedroom.

When she notices me she stops walking and smiles politely at me.

"Hi, I'm Amber." She says and extends her arm for a handshake, I stood there for a while in shock, Did she really not know who I was?

"Merdith" I say and shake her hand

"It was a pleasure meeting you" she says and walks away to whatever her
destination was, That was weird.
