Chapter three - curious man

Penny said curious " i didn't tell when I saw you, but why do you not have your make-up on". Jane frowned and said " I don't think I should be a villain anymore", penny shocked said " but your father is and everyone you know is. Why are you going to just stop".

Jane stood up and said " cause... I can't". Suddenly joker came running to jane and said " jane, the batman is downtown of Gotham there is a chance jane we can catch him... Together", jane looked at the joker and said " i'am not going".

Joker stood there as jane walked away and saw penny stand and follow her. Am I doing something wrong, uh, I wish I could understand the mind of a teen, but then again I was like that too.

Joker went downtown with some of his men and jane stayed at the warehouse. Penny and poison ivy left a little while after.

Jane went to the kitchen and opened the refrigerator. She saw nothing, but half-empty water bottles and a bag of chips seating on the side of the door. She closed it and sighed as her stomach started to growl of hunger. Dad, won't get back till later.

Jane walked out of her house with a twenty and change and drove to Gotham in her motorcycle.

She stopped by a small grocery store. She went inside seeing the cashier playing with a paddle ball. She walked in and started to look for her groceries. Jane grabbed bread, cheese, ham, mayo, drinks and a magazine and walked to the cashier setting then on the counter.

The cashier got up and started to swipe the items. A man walked behind jane and his hat was low carrying a bag of chips in his hand. The cashier looked up and jane gave him the cash and took her groceries. The man looked up at jane and said " be careful ". Jane stopped and said " why ", the man looked at jane and walked foward.

Jane confused went out the shop and got on her motorcycle till she heard a low voice say " I know you", jane looked around shocked and said " are you talking to me". Jane looked up into an alley and saw a pair of white eyes in the darkness he responded " yes, are you jokers daughter"?

Jane crossed her arms and said " who wants to know", he stayed in the dark and said "I never thought he was qualified for taking care of a child". Jane gasped and said in crossing her arms " i'am not a child and me and my dad are having problems and I don't need a stalker to take care of either".

Jane heard the man from the store say goodbye to the cashier. The man in the alley said " I'll see you again", and swished away. Jane said " wait, who are you", but he was gone. The man I the store looked at jane and said " who are you talking to", he looked into the alley. Jane looked at the man and said " none of your business", she smiled and got on her motorcycle starting the engine and drove away. I wonder who that man was in the alley and how did he know.... I existed. I have to tell dad about this.
