He's Never Mine

It is such a wonderful day in town . The sun was shining brightly , the branches and leaves of trees are swaying with the gentle breeze , in the meadows are pretty little flowers starting to bloom , everything was perfectly fine , but not with one girl .

"This is wrong but , I can't help but feel this way . It's just that , I like him but he only treats me as a friend . "

Mandy is talking herself while seating on the grassy area of the meadow near a pond . The place is a little bit far from the town proper so she could get insane here without someone looking around to mock or laugh at her . Talking to herself is the craziest thing she ever did in her entire life , but something even crazier is what she might do just to achieve her goal of having a perfect love story .

"She already have everything I want . She's rich, beautiful, smart and nice - and she even have the crush of the town as her boyfriend! Oh God , what've I done for You to punish me like this . I have a miserable life . I was hoping that a perfect love story is destined to come to me because things weren't just right for me so You are giving me a prince charming to save me from all distress of my stressful life , BUT NO !"

Mandy talked as fast as a machine gun and as loud as the blast of a cannon and she panted as she finished talking and tried catching her breath. I wonder how was that even possible for her. She might be really crazy .

A moment of silence is what came next as she started to remember the things which happened yesterday during that Town's Night- a celebration every Valentine's Day . Yes, the lovey-dovey day when she was expecting that her love story is going to start . She's romantic, but her thoughts -the things she was expecting is unmitigatedly impossible .

*flashback*

Everything was finely decorated . Banderitas; which are commonly triangle in shape are made special for this event personalized for it's theme which is the Valentine's Day -they were heart-shaped .

The banderitas were hanging along the streets , it is getting dark and the town was starting to get colorful with the christmas lights and the lamp posts are also starting to turn on illuminating the little town street.

The people are growing excited and the town is getting a lot noisier than ever . Couples - young and old alike , children and even singles are dancing with the beats of the drums and the rhythm of the orchestra which are currently played by the learned townspeople. Everyone was on cloud nine and are having fun , except for Mandy who is getting terribly nervous while Do Kyungsoo was sitting beside her on a bench .

The breeze is cold since it's still February but instead that Mandy will feel cool , she's feeling really hot inside . She was fanning herself with both of her hands and the guy beside her is feeling curious on what she's doing .

"Are you alright Mandy?" the guy asked wearily with his round eyes widened .

Mandy was quite shocked with Do Kyungsoo's sudden approach but she managed to say , " I'm alright ," while releasing a sarcastic giggle .

The guy flashed a smile at Mandy and her heart was thumping so fast like the beat of the drums . Everyone was noisy but for Mandy , it's like he was the only one she can see and hear - like the two of them are the only people in the world .

"Come on Mandy , let's dance ," Do Kyungsoo dropped the bouquet of flowers he was holding for a while and offered his hand to Mandy .

Mandy felt her cheeks getting warm . She didn't expected that he will ask her for a dance . "Could this be real? Is this a sign that he likes me too?" Mandy giddily thought to herself .
