Us teens are constantly switching our styles, personalities, and looks.
We try to find out who we are and who we're not,
And sometimes we want to be like our heroes in books.
We change our background on our phones A LOT.
And we even change our tastes in who we feel for.
We try to be cool and fit in with the crowd,
And sometimes we get sad and close our door.
Us teens can be quiet or really, really loud.
We get mood-swings and feel rebellious a lot of the time,
But some of us are too scared to even take a chance.
We need to learn to take a risk - make the climb.
Forget about reality, blast our favorite music and just flat out dance!
We teens are seen as careless, unloving, self-centered, and rude...
But all we want to do is live while we're still young!!
Don't think of us as crude.
We take risks and have good times,
Making memories and having the time of our lives.
You understand us better by listening to our favorite song and reading every rhyme.
We don't want to be locked up in one place for two long because we're energetic like bees in hives.
Us teens are ever changing, trying to find ourselves, but still trying to have a good time.
We hate to be in one place for too long and we hate to be wrong.
We love to take chances, risks - make the climb.
But even though we live like there's no stopping the clock or it's hands from ever moving along,
We fear maturity, adulthood, and being on our own.
Let us live - Let us breathe
While we still know we're not alone.
Don't be scared to occasionally let us free.
We're energetic, impatient, and a little insane,
And we sometimes don't know what something means...
But we're trying to have fun on our own lane..
What can I say? We're Teens.
