Isabelle's pov:
Ethan and I have been texting ever since the date. He's being really sweet. Thankfully he hasn't brought up the past yet. It's bound to happen though.
I heard the door bell ring, so I slowly got up to see who it was. Holy crap! It's him. "Ethan! What's up?" I asked. "I want to talk to you about something" Ethan said not making eye contact with me. "Oh, okay. Come in" I said while gesturing him to the couch. My breathing started to get heavier, and I started to shake. "So, umm. Can you tell me something about your past? Something real. Like ummm what life before we met was like" he said, finally brave enough to look me in the eye. There was a long pause before I broke the silence. "Its a long story" I started.
Flashback
"Shhh, don't cry sweetheart" my father cooed. Tears were running down my face as I took a step back. "You can go with me or mommy" he whispered. His eyes started to water. "You have to make your choice now. Our taxi is waiting for us" my mom said reaching her hand out to me. I grabbed it and cried. "I'm sorry daddy! You'll never stop loving me, right?" I asked slowly walking towards the car. "My love for you will never stop" he answered. My mom ushered me into the car. My dad and I cried harder, as we were ripped apart from each other.
End of flashback
A tear trickled down my cheek. I hadn't realized I started crying. Ethan wrapped his arms around me. "Shh, shh. It's over. It's okay. Wait, but at Christmas I've seen him. Or was that him? He asked, while wiping a tear off my face. "It was him. All of our family goes to my moms house at Christmas" I whispered. "What is your mom doing with you gone?" He questioned. "I-I-I'm not sure exactly. Last year Eric and I missed the family get together" I hesitantly replied. "Why?" He immediately asked again. "We didn't have enough money" I lied, hoping he didn't catch me. "Ya, I believe you" he sarcastically said. Ugh! "Okay. You caught me". He made a weird face at me, which made me laugh. "I was sick" I lied again. "Mmm hmm" he laughed at me. "It doesn't matter why. But how did you know my dad was there at Christmas?" I quickly changed the subject. "I saw him go into your house and Alex say "hi dad". Stop changing the subject. Tell me why" he politely demanded. "It doesn't matter" I said. "Fine. Then tell me why you lied to me for three years" he whispered the last part. There were a couple minutes of silence. He stared at me the entire time. "I think you should go now" I silently said. "What? I just got here twenty minutes ago" he said. I asked him a couple of times. "Leave. Now! I yelled. "Hey, hey! What's happening?" Eric asked. Ethan tensed up. "I was just leaving" Ethan said. He clenched his jaw. I jumped when I heard Eric slam the door shut. "Why was he here?!" He yelled. A couple tears escaped my eyes. Eric doesn't know how scared I am right now. "Just to talk" I quickly answered. I ran to my room and locked myself in there. Ethan kept calling and texting me. I didn't answer him, but I was wide awake the whole night.A/n sorry it's a short chapter. I was really busy this week
