Tae's POV.
Devin hasn't replied in a few minutes. I want to text him, but I know I shouldn't. Maybe I shouldn't have said anything, but I couldn't just let that continue to happen. Devin's a good guy. He deserves better. He deserves a girl who will treat him right, and just love him, the way he deserves to be loved. He shouldn't have a girl who only wants sex. But, it had to come out. He's probably going to hate me forever. Oh well.
Devin's POV.
"Hey, Aaliyah, are you busy tonight? I really missed you, and wanted to see you, baby." I said into the phone. "No, I can make time for you, Devin. I'll see you around 8?" "Yeah, wear that red dress I like to see you in. You know, the low cut one." "Alright. I'll see you, baby." With that, I hang up the phone and collapse on my bed. I have to think of how I'm going to confront her about this. Should I just be direct, or should I actually poke around the topic? I reach for my phone and call D'Angelo.
D'Angelo's POV.
"Why are you still here? We had sex, it's over." I say to the girl laying in my bed. "Damn, D. You kicking me out that quick? How about another round? You're a pretty decent partner in bed if I do say so myself." "How about no. We did it, it's over. I'm tired and you need to go." "I'm a little tired too. How about we take a nap together?" "Damn, can you not take a hint? I don't want you in here anymore. You were good for a quick nut. I'm done. I'm over it. Leave, now." "Alright. I'll go. Bye, D'Angelo." "Bye." I just left it at a bye, because I didn't know her name. As she's packing up her stuff to go, my phone starts ringing, and I see it's Devin. "Yo, wassup Dev?" "Hey, man. I just got a stunning revelation from Tae. You know her, right?" "Yeah, she's hot. What about her?" "Yeah, so you know she's my partner for Alexander's big Life Science project. So, I texted her, and we were having a good conversation, but then she dropped a major bomb on me. Aaliyah's cheating on me. She told me, she's been with every guy in our grade, except you and Kelly because y'all respected me, enough to not go with her." "Yeah, she's tried to get with all of us. She's sent me inappropriate pictures and all of that, but I always told her to go away, because it wasn't cool to do that to you, man." "Thanks, man, I appreciate it. So, we're supposed to be going to dinner tonight, so I'm going to bring it up, and see what the truth is." "Well, don't go in and start second guessing anything. Just be one hundred percent direct." "Alright. Thanks, man."
Tae's POV.
I'm lying on my bed, and my phone starts to ring. "Hey, Tae Tae." I hear Mikayla's high pitched voice. "Hey, girl. What's going on?" "Nothing much, I just wanted to know if you wanted to run to the mall with me. I have a coupon for my job and I need to get rid of it.." "Alright, let's go. I need to vent anyway." "What happened with my Tae Bae?" "Long story, but I'll tell you when I see you." With that, I hang up the phone and begin to get dressed. After 30 minutes, of putting makeup and doing my hair out of the way, I admire all of my hard work. I look outside of my bedroom window and see no sign of Mikayla. I pick up my phone to call her when a phone call from Devin comes through.. "Um, hey Tae.." I start to breathe a little heavier than normal. "What's up?" "Nothing much, you know. Just thinking. Mind if I share my thoughts?" "Sure. What's going on?" There's a brief pause on his end before he speaks. "Do you mind if we go for a ride? It's this spot, and it's super quiet and we can just talk." I scream like a kindergartner on the inside, while trying to keep my composure on the inside. "Sure, Devin. My address is 724 Milan Street." "Woah, I didn't know you lived so close to me, but I'll see you in 15." With that, I hang up the phone and collapse on the bed. I call Mikayla and tell her the news. "Hello?" "I'm sorry, Mickey. I can't go out with you. I'm going out with Devin." "Wow. Are you blowing me off for the love of your life? I thought that I was your bestfriend! You're blowing me off for Devin Armani. Thanks a lot, Tae." "Sorry, but I'll make it up to you. Love youuuuu. Gotta go." "Bye Tae.."
Mikayla's POV.
"Wadeline, hey babygirl. Are you busy?" I ask. "Nope, why?" "I wanted to head out to the mall, and pick up some things, and use this coupon for my job. I'll come pick you up." I say. "Alright. I'll see you in a few." She hangs up the phone. I grab my keys and head out of the door. I plug my phone in and drive over to Wadeline's.. After 10 minutes, I pull up outside of Wadeline's house and beep the horn. While Wadeline is coming out of the house, my phone rings and what pops up is an unknown number. "Hello?" "Hey, Mikayla. It's D'Angelo from school." I lock the doors. "What's up D'Angelo?" "Um, I really like your friend Wadeline, and um. I want to ask her out, but she's like so damn hard to approach." He says. "Um, meet me at the mall, and I'll be with Wadeline, and you can sing her favorite song to her. It's Usher Trading Places." I say. I laugh to myself, silently. "Alright. I'll meet you at the Food Court. I'll see you." I hang up the phone. I look out of the passenger side and see Wadeline looking at me. I unlock the door, and she gets in. Hey, girl. How are you?" "Shut up. Had my ass waiting while you were oblivious. Probably on the phone with Mr. Oubre." "Hahaha. I wish. But, let's go. I need something new. Maybe I'll pick up a little cutie. Who knows?" She says. "What happened to D'Ange?" "He's a hoe. Simple as that." She says. I sigh. Little does she know, she's in for a special gift.
