Eun-seo POV
I was sitting against a brick outside of school like I usually do. Today I was feeling down. I didn't have the heart to do anything, I didn't want to talk, to write, or to just be around anyone. I doesn't get that bad and it doesn't happen too often but when it happens I just need time to myself. I hugged my knees to my chest and sat their with my chin on my knees as I stared straight ahead of me at the grassy field. I let out a deep sigh remembering what made me down. It was Mark and I's 6 month anniversary. I usually don't like making big deals out of stuff like this but Mark was the first guy that I was this close with. Wait why am I thinking like this? Ugh must be those stupid hormones...
The wind gently blew through my hair as the day began to tick by. It was late afternoon when guess who walk up to me. Yep Mark sits down beside me with a big smile on his face. I continue to look forward at the field not wanting to say anything, because if I do... it wouldn't be pretty.
"Eun-seo, you want to go on an adventure?" He said excitedly.
I hesitated but I agreed since it was probably better than sitting there and sulking even longer than I already had. We sat down inside his car and we began to drive to who knows where.
"Where are we going?" I questioned?
He grinned "Don't worry just trust me, just think of it as an adventure."
We began to drive for a while until we drove off onto an exit. I began to get a little anxious. Where could he be taking me? He suddenly stopped the car. We both got out but we were in a forested area. He took my hand and entwined my finger with his. He led me through a bunch of trees and it was taking us a while to get to wherever we were.
"Mark where the heck are we going?" I whined
"Just wait we are almost there."
We walked for a few more minutes until he says to me "Hey while we're walking why don't we try and finish our question game."
I smiled "Sure."
"I think it was my turn." He said.
Jokingly he asked "What do you think of my friends now?"
I stared at him "What kind of question is that?"
He chuckled "I don't know just answer it."
I thought for a little bit "Well let's see... JB is pretty nice, Bambam is funny, Youngjae is...loud... Yugyeom is shy but sweet, Jackson is well Jackson, and Jr... well he's interesting."
"What do you mean by interesting?"
Not wanting to answer I just said "Hey you already asked your question, it's my turn now."
"No it's a add on to the previous question." He argued
"Hey that's not part of the rules." I teased.
We began to argue a little bit until I finally won the argument and he eventually gave up. But still I count that as a win.
"K my turn. Hmmm.."
There was one question that was bugging me but I was wondering if I should really ask it. After all I don't want to seem too clingy and desperate. Oh what the heck I'll just ask it to get it off my chest."Umm about the other day... who was that girl you were with?" I asked shyly.
He eyed me for a second and said "Well since you ditched me for like every class I had to find another partner to work with."
I rolled my eyes "Wow thanks." I said as I playfully nudged him.
We finally made it to an opening in the trees. As the light began to shine brighter from in between the branches of the trees it began to reveal one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. The sky was cascaded with tones of orange and pink. As we walked into the opening I noticed that it was a cliff overlooking the beach we went to on our first date. My heart began to flutter as I was lost for words. I stared out into the ocean when Mark told me to look down at the sand. When I looked down I saw that written in big letters it said:
Eun-seo,
Thank you for the best 6 months ever, that's 180 days, 4320 hours, 259200 minutes, 15552000 seconds that I have been with you. Although it seems like we just met yesterday, I have treasured every second of it. Happy 6 months.
~Mark
P.S. You can thank JB, Bambam, Youngjae, Yugyeom, Jackson, and Jr.
I laughed as I read the last part and saw that the guys were standing at the bottom of the cliff waving at us. I waved back until they turned away and Jackson threw Bambam in the water....I turned around to see Mark standing there standing there staring at the ground too embarrassed to say anything.
I wrapped my arms around him "Happy 6 months Mark."
I stood up on my toes as I kissed him. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed me back in return. In that moment time stood still. The wind danced around us and the sounds of the waves lightly crashing against the shore. The sunset faded as we pulled away, we just stood in each other's embrace never wanting to leave each other's side.
