Chapter 5

Shamika

"Wake Up Bae." I whispered in Ced's ear while kissing his lips. It was 8:00 in the morning on a Saturday, but I wanted my baby up with me. He didnt wake up all he did was turn back over. Since he didnt want to get up the easy way he was gone have to get the playful way. I got up out the bed and hovered over him.

"Total Smackdown!!!!" I yelled. Just as I was about to jump on him he popped up. "You better not." He said eyeing me. I laughed and gave him a kiss. "I told you to get up and go brush your teeth." I told him. He got up, mugged me, and went to the bathroom. I shrugged my shoulders and decided to go check on Miyah and Shalay. I went downstairs and found them in the living room watching Finding Dory.

"Oohhh I love this movie!" I squealed and plopped down on the couch next to Shalay. She looked at me out of the corner of her eye but didnt say anything. I was so into this movie I was waiting on this my whole childhood. I guess I was talking to much because eventually Shalay cut the movie off and stared at me.

"What?" I asked her. "Mi-Mi you've been talking since you got down here." She said tapping her foot. "But I-" I started when she cut me off. "Can you just go make some food." She told me as she took her seat back on the couch. This little motherfucker. I thought to myself. "Fine but you aint getting none." I rolled my eyes. The nerve of these kids.

I went in the kitchen and decided to start on breakfast. I had a taste for a big breakfast, so I made bacon, scrambled eggs, sausage, bluberry pancakes, shrimp n grits, ham, and hashbrowns. While I was finishing up breakfast, I felt Ced walk up behind me and start kissing on my neck. "Smells good down here baby." He said. I turned around and gave him a kiss. When I was done cooking I made everyones plates and we sat down at the table and ate.

"So baby, I think we should start decorating Shalay's room, or at least start painting it." I mentioned to Ced. "Yea, I have a meeting with some officials from the Warriors in an hour. I have more contract signing to do. So we can start when I get back." He said. I nodded my head and finished eating.

When breakfast was over I was so tired. Ced volunteered to clean the kitchen so I went upstairs and laid down. A few minutes later I drifted to sleep.

Cedrick

When I got done cleaning the kitchen I went upstairs to take a shower and get dressed. When I got in the room Mika was knocked out. My baby was so beautiful even when she slept. She was definitely blessed with her looks, body, and personality. Hell, I was blessed to have her as my girl.

I hopped in the shower and washed up with my Polo body wash. I got out and dressed in my all black silk Calvin Klein dress shirt and black Calvin Klein taylored dress pants, and my all black Gucci loafers. I put a little pink lotion in my curls and brushed the sides, and topped it off with my gold watch and simple gold chain and sprayed on my new Polo cologne. I took a look in the mirror and headed out the door.

"Well Mr. Sinclair. We are aware that 6 months ago, you signed a contract agreeing to make about $860,000, correct?" I nodded wondering where he was going with this and let him continue. "Well seeing as though you are working very hard and made tremendous changes, from us observing you in practice and on the field on game day, we are willing to raise your pay to about $1.6 million." He told me making my eyes damn near pop out of my head.

"Woahh yall gotta be kidding me right?" I asked them still not believeing this. I just got drafted 6 months ago and im already making millions. God is really looking out for a brother. "Not at all Mr. Sinclair, so do you agree or-" "Hell yea where that pen at?" I said making them all laugh. Coach Henderson gave me the side eye but I really aint give a fuck. If I got all the way up to 1.6 mill after two games imagine where Im gone be in a few years.
