The waiting area in the office is so boring. The walls are painted a dull grey that reminds me of a storm cloud. My appointment is at 4:00pm, it's 3:55pm right now. "Mr.Nicks, will you please enter room 4, Dr.Blues is waiting for you" The lady says in a relatively deep, monotone voice. I walk into room 4 and shut the door behind me. As I turn around I see a fairly young man in a seat behind his desk."Hello, Mr.Nicks" he says looking up at me."Hey, Mr.Blues" I screech out in a anxious voice."Nervous, Mr.Nicks" he says in a chuckle. I sit in the chair before my knees buckle from the sound of his voice. Dr.Blues comes over and sits in the chair in front of me. He slide the chair closer and grabs my thighs in what seems to be a comforting manor."Why are you hear Sean" he says abruptly. I end up choking out "I have problems". "Stupid answer" the little voice in my mind breaths out. Dr.Blues chuckles and replies "Well you're going to be a little more specific if you want help". By this time he's backed up a little bit and he has a notepad in his lap."I wanted some help with my anxiety" I croak out."What about your anxiety" he says as he's said it a million times." It's causing problems in my life" I reply. "Explain, use metaphorical terms if you wish" he says intentively. "Well, it's like rain. Some days it's a clear and sunny day and I feel fine, but the other days it's a slight drizzle. I can feel it but it doesn't bother me that much."I pause. "Continue" Dr.Blues says. "Then there's those days where it feels like a hurricane. There's no escaping it's Rath and it beats me to a pulp. It surrounds me and I feel like my life is crashing be for me" I reply. "How long has this been going on" he says in a thoughtful manor. "About a year" I say. By the time I lok at the clock it's 5:00. Blues looks at the clock and says looks like our time is up". I get up and walk to the door. As I'm opening the door Blues says "Goodbye Sean". "Goodbye Mr.Blues" I say anxiously. As I'm walking out he exclaims "Call me Matt". I look at him and say "Goodbye Matt" and I walk out with a huge smile. Today the storms have cleared.
