A strange summer

chapter 1 rewrite

since i didn't like chapter 1 I rewrote it to make it better
Dipper pov~
Me and Mabel were heading back to gravity falls. It's been  five years since me and Mabel defeated Bill. We drove along the road in town and a few people recognized us and waved. Mabel happily waved back.
I pulled up to the shack. It really hasn't changed. Mabel was bouncing up and down in her seat. "calm down mabel" I said. She pouted and said "You try and contain your excitement after you get to visit the shack after a year" I chuckled and turned off the car and got out. I noticed the lights were off. Me and Mabel looked at each other. She shrugged and opened the door. Suddenly the lights came on and i saw all the close friends we made over that one summer long ago. There was Candy and Gretta, grunkle Stan and Ford, Soos, Wendy and Robie. They havent changed except Candy and Gretta have gotten taller and more feminine, Ford and Stan's hair gotten more white, and Wendy is a little taller and Robie looked more mature with a small goatee. Mabel squealed and ran to Candy and Gretta probably to catch up on what happened over the years. Wendy came up and smiled at me. "hey Dipper" she said and hugged me. It didn't bother me because I got over my crush on her. Plus she is married to Robie. I hugged back and said "As much as I would love to catch up I've got grunkles to catch up with.
I walked over to Stan and Ford, "how was your adventure in the most mysterious place in the Alantic ocean" I said. "It was great, we found so many new creatures" Ford said. "Yea, hanging with my twin brother in the middle of the ocean was amazing" Stan said sarcastically then chuckle,"it was great". I smiled, must of been cool. "Oh Dipper i meant to show you this." he said as he handed me a journal that looked exactly like the other only newer. I flipped through the pages and it was amazing. So many new things. I skimmed the names skinwalker, wendigo, nine tailed fox, gouls. There were so many new things until I stopped at a certain page. It was a blue square with one eye, top hat and a umbrella. I looked at Ford for an explanation. "You find something Dipper" he asked.
I showed him the page and he looked confused. He asked Stan if he wrote it and Stan shook his head no. "Thats weird" Ford said, "must've forgot I wrote that" he said.
After a few hours of catching up on life I yawned and looked at my digital watch on my right wrist. I noticed how late it was and let them know."Lets call it a night and head to bed." I said. Everyone agreed and left. I went to our car and grabbed our suitcases. I carried them upstairs only to be met with Mabel jumping up and down on the bed. I set our stuff down. The room hasn't changed much since we last been here. "Careful Mabel, you might fall and hurt yourself" I warned her."Pff like I'll fall." Just as she said that she slipped and fell in a pillow that was thrown on the floor from her jumping."I warned" you i told her. She laughed and grabbed some pj's from her suitcase and went to the bathroom to change. I quickly changed and hopped into bed. A few seconds later Mabel exited the bathroom with a gown that had a unicorn on it. "Night mabel" i said. "Goodnight Dipper" Mabel said and fell asleep. I was about to fall asleep and suddenly felt someone watching me. I shook it off and fell asleep waiting for tomorrow to come unknown there was someone or should i say something watching me
