It was around four in the afternoon that I decided to head back to my house. I called an uber to pick me up, and swung by Starbucks while waiting.

On the way home, I couldn't help but think about my best friends that I'd not only lied to, but left behind without acknowledging them. The stakes were too high that I was even willing to refuse trying to make my gold relationship with my boyfriend Aiden, to work, because I knew he would eventually find out.

The car finally came to a stop, and only then did I realize that I arrived home. That was probably the shortest fifteen minutes i've ever been in my life.

Tossing my coffee into the bin, I got in, and immediately skipped my way up the stairs to change into a more comfortable attire.

Going back downstairs with all the shopping bags that I've accidentally brought with me upstairs, it still kinda hit me that I'm currently living on my own.

I just turned sixteen, and most people my age would ask for a car on their birthdays, but me, I was given a house. Not that I asked for it or anything, yes, I'm still grateful, but let's just not talk about it for now.

I entered the kitchen, switched on the lights and sighed before proceeding to fill in my empty massive refrigerator and cabinets with all the grocery that I've just bought earlier that evening.

After some time, I was only halfway done with it, and I got bored, and also upset that I can't have my mom over to help me.

I switched on the tv on the kitchen counter, how did it end up there, I really had no idea. And opened up a bottle of vitamin water. Before I could even sit on of the stools, the bell rang. I glanced on the clock wall, almost four in the afternoon.

I stayed still for a second, and moved only my eyeballs as I didn't want to believe that anyone from my hometown knew I moved in here. My intention here was to hide my true identity, and start fresh with new people.

I calmed my nerves, and went out the kitchen, peeping out of the garage area. Put down my vitamin water, and head for the door. I peaked to the side, from the translucent curtain, and there stood a handsome and tall figure of my age, I would say, holding some kind of a fruit basket with his left hand, and playing his phone with his right hand.

Something about him intrigued me, though one thing was for sure, he wasn't someone I know, but that weirdly disappointed me. He looked up from his phone, and rang the bell for the second time. It made me jump a little bit that he noticed my presence from outside the window.

I gasped in shock, as I shifted myself side way where the curtains were completely opaque. I glanced down my outfit, and realized I've only put on an extra large shirt that stops right above my knee. I wanted to sprint my way up the stairs and change but some part of me didn't want to.

There was no turning back. He saw me lurked around and I was not about to run away. One thing that hit me was, why was I making a big deal out of it anyway? I ran my fingers through my messy hair, and inhaled. Opened the door, and exhaled.

My eyes immediately met his, and I realized something in an instant, he was so damn good looking.
