It is starry-starry night. I love looking at the stars. They're are so bright. It's like they're looking after you and  guiding you.

A Halloween night. Our street’s crowded: everyone is busy trick or treating—both children, teenagers and even adults. Doorbells are ringing at sync, creating a rhythm.

I really love Halloween, it is my second favourite holiday next to Christmas, because of free candies and  I can be a detective for a day, a girl version of Conan, which my mom somewhat disagrees with because she wants me to dress up like a policewoman like her, but I’ve already explained to her that yes, I want to become a policewoman someday but I love Conan—Moreover, there’s another reason why I like Halloweens: because ALWAYS during Halloween, our classroom turns into a venue for a one big crayon fight because most of my girl classmates want to dress up like Disney Princesses that they end up throwing crayons at each other because no one wants to be the same as someone, but actually—what’s the deal with princesses, right? Poor Miss Honey, picking up all the mess after the class.

Well back to reality, I’ve already had enough of trick or treating. My basket is already full.

I sat down on the edge of the sidewalk in front our house.

I looked at my pumpkin basket.

“This is neat. Who wouldn’t love Halloween?”

I dig in on my pumpkin basket, checking each and every freebie I got: M&M’s, gummy bears, chocolate bars, coloring books, pencils, crayons and…..an apple? Oh! There are raspberries! Why, thank you. Then with a flash I ate all the raspberries. After eating all the raspberries, I resume on digging inside my pumpkin basket then oh! Oh! This is awesome! A GLOW IN THE DARK GOLDEN SNITCH BOUNCING BALL! By the way, i'm a potterhead too at my young age.

I was so happy that I instantly started playing with it.

I played it all throughout the night that I didn’t even noticed that I was the only one on the street.

“Where are the people?” I asked myself.

Then suddenly, a strong wind occurred—blowing my hair, my coloring books and my glow in the dark snitch away from me.

I ran and followed my glow in the dark snitch—which is currently bouncing towards the narrow alley in between Mrs. Cruz’s and Mr. Thompson’s house.

As I ran, I can hear my tiny footsteps against the street’s surface. Upon entering the dark alley I saw two silhouettes: two men, a man being pushed against the wall by another man—who seems to be taller than the other. I can’t see their faces due to the lack of lighting but what frightened me is that the taller guy has red glowing eyes which are currently looking at my way.

I suddenly hid myself behind the trash bin on the side. I’m scared. I’m perspiring too much. I want to run but my feet seem to be weak. I peep through the side of the trash bin.

He’s not looking at my way anymore. He focused his sight on the smaller guy who is twitching, it looks like he wants to get out of the taller man’s hold on his neck.

The taller guy, while staring at the smaller guy, took something out from his pants. I can’t barely see it. It looks like a necklace with a cross. I focused more then I realized—it is a rosary. The taller guy then puts the necklace on the smaller guy’s forehead and began murmuring—I can hear his voice. It’s very cold, it’s very dark, and it’s scary. I stopped peeping and I put my hands up on my ears and closed my eyes. I don’t want to hear it anymore. I want to get out of here but I’m too scared to move.

After a few seconds, I can’t hear anything: no more murmurs. Feeling frightened, I opened my eyes and to my horror, I see him, he is in front of me, face to face. The tall guy with the red eyes. His eyes are bloodshot red, he is so pale, his hair is as black as the night sky and there’s something on his lips, it's red—dripping blood.
