Extraordinary

First day

"I swear Rocket, if you don't get out of bed, Thea will be starting the new school, not you" shouted rockets mum up the stairs

Hearing those words made Rocket jump out of bed and straight down the stairs, he wasn't going to let his sister get in his way

Most kids would be dreading there first day at school, but Rocket wasn't

This was not an ordinary school

It was a school for different kids

And I don't mean people with special needs

I mean people who can fly and walk through walls

Woah, before you start singing the batman theme song, this is serious

Rocket lives in a secret world, a world away from the rest of mankind

And today was his first step

Today 100 other kids, who have parents that are superheroes too, will start at starling academy

"Mum, please don't embarrass me" blushed Rocket

Rocket had black hair and dark eyes. He also always wore red fingerless gloves. He never took them off

"Hun, leave him be, We both know what it's like, it's never easy" whispered mr Lance, rockets dad

Mr and Mrs Lance, also known as Warlock and Mirage, were members of the biggest superheros organisation in the world

The elite

There was hundreds of members, and every year, when there kids reached 16, they were sent of the starling academy, to become the next generation of heroes

No pressure then

"Thanks for being so supportive guys, I am nervous, I don't even  know what powers I have, not until I get to school and I can take this off" stated Rocket

Rocket was talking about the power inhibiting bracelets that every super powered teen has to wear since they were born, it stopped there powers from working. Most of the elite council agreed that there kids shouldn't be able to access there powers until there at the school, for obvious safety reasons

"I just want to make you proud" smiled Rocket

"I know you will, As its your first day, I have a treat for you" grinned Mr Lance

He hoovered his hands above the breakfast table, and suddenly, it was filled with waffles and pancakes

Rockets face lit up

"Joe, you can't use your powers for things like that!" Scolded Mrs lance

"It's rockets first day, he deserves it Diana" shrugged mr lance

Rocket was pretty used to his parents using there magic around him, but it was still odd sometimes

But he wasn't complaining

Having parents with magical abilities was pretty useful , not to mention kickass

Trying to get his head round seeing his parents out in the world, saving people and taking criminals down, and then seeing them sitting here, eating toast and talking like any other normal person, it wasn't easy, sometimes rocket wished he had a normal family

No dad who could make anything he could think of appear out of thin air

No mum who could teleport to China and back again in a couple of seconds

And he wished he wouldn't worry every single time they went on a mission, worry that this is the day that they lose

"See ya later guys!" Shouted Rocket, bursting out of the front door
